Purchased.

£4 seems like a bargain if its the masterpiece you all seem to think it is.

I was looking for a new band to get stuck into, hopefully Radiohead can be said band.

While i was on play.com i also purchased Batman Trilogy on blu-ray, as for some peculiar reason i have yet to see The Dark Knight Rises.

Today could be a monumental day

Have you ever been right about anything ever? How about you tell us what you actually like instead of just slagging off everything everyone else likes.

I love The Bends, not many albums are brilliant from start to finish but this is, my soundtrack to 1995. I saw them play near enough the whole album live when they headlined one night at T In The Park in 1996. What a lineup we had at T that year - Pulp, Prodigy, Foo Fighters, Manics, Leftfeld, Black Grape, also spent a fair bit of time in the dance tent being into getting off my face back at the time.

You're on the wrong forum for hippy love ins.

Radiohead are like a pod of emo teen whales moping about the ocean.

I have to agree with Fuge here Lurtzy. As good as the production is on The Bends, I automatically have about 20 albums coming into my mind that are way above The Bends for their production.

For me Dark Side of The Moon is the best produced album, but I think In Rainbows in the history of Radiohead is leagues ahead for production.

As you say though it is a game of opinions.

You're just behind. *whistles*

When I say "produced" in this context, I mean, you know, 'made.' Suffice to say my knowledge of actual music production is at best limited but more accurately non-existent, so I'll happily bow to your and Fuge's knowledge on that side of things.

It took me a while to really get into Radiohead. I really enjoyed the Bends when I first heard it and then went out and got OK Computer and Kid A. I liked OK Computer but it didn't "wow" me. Kid A I couldn't get into at all until one night many years later at a drug fuelled party someone stuck it on and I was instantly in heaven.

I'm still not a massive Radiohead fan despite my love for Kid A and In Rainbows. Both of which I listen to regularly. The rest of stuff I'm just not as keen on. Even the Bends doesn't really do it for me any more. Hail to the Thief I like but I've not hammered it like the others.

Its easily their best album. Not a dud on it. Bullet Proof I Wish I was....beyond amazing. I love Thom et al but I have to say OK Computer is the most overrated album in history. Its good but not deserving of the cum shots ahoy from the likes of Q etc.

Airbag, Paranoid & Lucky apart (and Lucky was 2 years old anyway at the time) the whole album makes me yawn and feel like I have flu.

For me The Bends, Kid A, Amnsiac & In rainbows are far superior. Nothing on OK Computer comes anywhere near Pyramid Song.

Like so many of the great bands past and present, Radiohead are an acquired taste.

They aren't an immediately appealing band (by most people's standards), but that's true of Genesis, Floyd, Zep, Rush, Yes et al... all outstanding bands.

Even if you hate them, you'd be a fool to deny their creative ability and genuine 'progressive' attitude to music.

Sadly, they will never appeal to the masses, as the masses are quite simply morons.

Inclined to agree about the overhype given to it by the industry but I think it's a fabulous album, though not as good as The Bends. I rerely listen to OK simply because it sends me to dark places I'd prefer not to visit. It's the only album I can think of that does that to me.

It's like being visited by the "black dog" for me. There's no disputing the magnificence of the album, it just sends me into a pit of self loathing and depression like nothing on earth. And this comes from a massive Joy Division fan.

Can any album get anywhere near having 'High & Dry' followed by 'Fake Plastic trees'? 2 absolutely mesmerising and powerful songs' date=' my 2 favourite Radiohead tracks. Picking them apart is unimaginable.[/quote']

They're my 2 favourites as well, absolutely top tunes.
