  1. Its easily their best album. Not a dud on it. Bullet Proof I Wish I was....beyond amazing. I love Thom et al but I have to say OK Computer is the most overrated album in history. Its good but not deserving of the cum shots ahoy from the likes of Q etc. Airbag, Paranoid & Lucky apart (and Lucky was 2 years old anyway at the time) the whole album makes me yawn and feel like I have flu. For me The Bends, Kid A, Amnsiac & In rainbows are far superior. Nothing on OK Computer comes anywhere near Pyramid Song.
  2. Arctic Monkeys version of 'Love Machine' pisses over Girls Aloud (ahem)..
  3. I started watching it when it 1st came out. Got up to Season 4 and then didnt watch the rest of the entire series until last year when I watched 5 to the Final Act in about a week. For me, it tops both the The Wire & The Soprano's - As genius as both of them are. Its a personal preference but I think its more a gripping watch than The Wire (which works primarily BECAUSE its a slow burner) and more realistic than Tony and chums, although not as funny (what is/was though?). Season 4 with Glenn Close is quite literally the greatest single season in TV history. For those who have not yet got that far, and I won't spoil it, it is like watching a 13 hour version of Training Day. It is fucking awesome. A friend who is lucky to live in LA (a footy coach over there) tells me its literally bang on the button for its depiction of the sprawling urban enviro over there. The quality does not dip one iota through to the last season but Season 4 is just stand out. Anthony Andersons performance is just top drawer but then again so is that of the entire cast The highlights are too many to mention and I envy anybody watching it for the first time. As a Shield nut, here goes: Fave Characters - Lem, Ronnie & Tina (For very obvious reasons) Best Season - Season 4 Best Villain - Marcos or Antwon Best use of music - Coldplays 'Til Kingdom Comes' or Kid Rocks 'Bawitdaba' Best Acting - Walton Goggins in every episode he's in Enjoy folks you will not be disappointed
  4. If he kept the discipline required i.e. not bombing on, he could still be one of the best holding midfielders in the world. He's brilliant in the tackle and can pass as well as anyone on earth. Still. Whether our all new 6 yard passing rule would suit him is another question
  5. Not dead current but still getting played quite a bit Avicii - Sihouettes Jay Z & Kanye West - N*ggas in Paris (Vandal Squad Remix) Muse - Starlight (Marco Jules Remix) available from the DJs website La Roux - In For the Kill (Skream remix) Avicii - Nictoria (Lee Morrison Edit)
  6. By far the most alarming thing about last night was Downing mugging around in the background looking the absolute double of Christian Bale in American Psycho....
  7. Although he probably didnt catch the eye as much yesterday as maybe in previous games in terms of assists, I thought his "game intelligence" yesterday was remarkable for a lad his age. Thought he was excellent, 1st half especially. Space just seems to open up when he has the ball the way it did for Rambo back in the day.
  8. A friend of mine who is close pals with the Real People knows both of them. He prefers Liam because he always asks how you are and is interested in you whereas Noel, as sound as he is, is a bit 'me me me'. I love em both. Both extremely funny in very different ways.
  9. A lad I played footy with went to work as a teacher in Leicester. . He was a decent looking lad and did Muay Thai so kept himself in good nick. Must have been 29 at the time. Said the first 6 months were a nightmare. Said he was getting his arse slapped and pinched in the corridor and wolf whistled. After a coiuple of weeks he informally complained to the Headmaster who told him, (I shit you not) "it'll be the accent and you should wear looser pants and shirts!!! The girls will calm down after they get used to you!!" A girl in the final year became so obsessed with him she was writing his name on her thighs in permanent marker of a night and taking photo's to show him the next day. They still wouldnt suspend her. One girl came up to him in class one day and said "Mr Stewart I had a boss dream about you last night" in front of the whole class. Wrong on so many levels. He came back to the North West in the end he was para to fuck about getting a false accusation or that he was leading someone on. Mind you knowing him he got off probably before he did something he regretted....
  10. Great point, Been saying that since we got him. One of the biggest shithouses to ever wear our shirt. Watch him. When the play looks to go wide he'll drift inside and vice versa. His only plus point is that he looks like Christian Bale
  11. Shocking. I was in the Anny Road for the famous FA Cup "Shitgate" game. Their behaviour that day was appalling (ours wasnt exactly 1950's either) but the majority of it seemed to come from the titular MiBs one of whom I recognised as a doorman from Manchester City Centre. I actually cant believe they sang that today but then again "they do what they want" I suppose...
  12. Is Northern Ireland not in Britain therefore they're British?????
  13. To the dickheads who sang this on today of all days .- you're no better than the mancs. Tasteless, disrespectful to the families and most of all plain stupid. I loathe her as much as the next person with a semblance of humanity for all of the same reasons but this is just plain wrong and opens us up to being called hypocrites. Stick this song up yer arses
  14. I'm 99% certain it was "Where's your famous atmosphere?" both times though I was in The Kop so can't clarify if a few smackrats used the 'munich song' line in it. Sky News never report news that unconfirmed, nosireeeeeeeee
