It's a shame it's going to be over shadowed by those new stands. But I can't imagine what they could do instead without crossing the road. I also think 60k will suit the club to ensure demand always outstrips supply.

Yeah there's not much to be done about it, can't not expand just to protect the image of the kop. It's just a shame.

I was going to ask a question about this for this lunchtime's Q&A with Tall Paul Gorst, but the Echo these days is worse than Pravda. Innocent question and a minute later: 'Content deactivated'. Tried again - absolutely nothing objectionable whatsoever, but the same thing: 'Content deactivated'. Why do they even bother?

Could something be done with the Kop like at Spurs, make it significantly steeper?

 

It maybe wouldn’t have to go as far back then. 
 

That Spurs end holds 17/18k, the Kop holds 12/13k.

 

A quick Google tells me that Spurs stand has 82 rows. The Kop has 70+ anyway.
