ive never seen a more pointless player with a WC medal, he offers nothing, he dives, he constantly passes the ball backwards, hes not fast nor is he a good tackler, he scored like one goal in his career. A poor mans Lucas who is stealing a living

Thought the same. But don´t agree with him beeing a poor mans Lucas. Both are similar shit.

no they should play Alonso as a DM, Inesta right, Xavi centre, Mata/Silva/Pedrio on the left, Torres and Villa as strikers, like Euro 2008 when they were a far more impressive team

Alonso hardly played in the 2008 Euro's, Senna was the holding midfielder.

replace Alonso for Senna, remember Alonso is a DM for Real, who also can dictate the play

Alonso plays alongside one of the diarra's for real. You're confusing a DM with someone that lays deep and spreads the ball about.

Sergio biscuits isn't my cup of tea either but any team playing without a DM nowadays is suicide.

Congratulations on proving that you know absolutely nothing about football. And in only two lines! Well done.

In a team full of talented players then one or two are going to look ordinary. Still done the job they were asked to do and it's a team effort at the end of the day.

Busquets and Alonso nullified the German counterattacks. Similarly, they blocked Robben from cutting in, limiting him to one chance. Busquets is not the most elegant of the players, but he seemed to be one of the first ones on the team sheet for Spain. Possibly a world cup winning manager is on to something.

He does the job the coach asks him to do, in the last game against Germany he handled the highly rated Ozil well. I didn't know we measured defensive midfielders on their goal contribution either.

Spain also had a pretty impressive defensive record so I would assume that is more of a confirmation of his input rather than his goals scored.

His technique is pretty underrated as well. Anyone that doesn't look out of place passing the ball around with Xavi and Iniesta has to be very, very good on the ball.

This seems to tell the same story:
