Whether you supported Rafa or not, it's becoming increasingly apparent that Purslow stitched up Benitez on numerous occasions.

 

From briefing the press against Rafa to trying to negotiate his own transfers with Madrid, he has behaved absolutely disgracefully.

 

The guy is a snake and needs to be kicked out of the club before he causes anymore damage. It's shameful to think that he considers himself a Liverpool supporter.

I see him purely as an Agent Provocateur looking after the interests of the owners Zig. The more I think about that 'Minutesgate' incident with SOS, the more I think it was an attempt to discredit the Union. He swaggered in giving it the 'Boys from the Dwarf' routine, the 'we all want the same thing lads, we are all fans after all' horseshit, but everything he has done subsequently seems to have been done in his own and the owners interests, so you can rule out the faux pas explanation for a start.

Don't be surprised when he is unveiled as Hodgsons number two. I wont be.

Agreed mate and I said as much as soon as he did it. He's there to stir shit up, take the flak and get paid well for it. It only takes a very quick google to see what he was doing before he took this job: working for an LBO finance company. He's the owners man and he's doing a good job of it. As such we certainly should question everything he does and says, but at the same time let's not lose focus on whose interests he is doing and saying them in.

I am certain Purslow is a liar. I have a very good source who rarely passes stuff on but when it is it can usually be trusted.

 

At the last meeting between Purslow, Rafa and Broughton Rafa was surprised that Purslow was there as he wanted to set out his position and problems to Broughton, on the basis that he was probably ignorant of the shit that has been going on.

 

Purslow asked Rafa if he had a problem with him. I believe Rafa said he did as he told lies.

 

Purslow said if he could prove it he would resign.

 

Rafa produced a dossier of all the stuff he has been up to. It seems he tells people what they want to hear and this has particularly wound up the likes of Gerrard and Torres.

 

The crunch came over Yossi. I was told that Rafa commented on the deal that was almost reached with Chelsea for £5m (which I fear will still go through). Rafa said he could have got £8-10m out of Chelsea because from speaking to Ancelotti he was desparate to sign him to replace Joe Cole yet Rafa understood Yossi was told he could go for £5m. Purslow denied this was true and Rafa produced a letter between Yossi's agent and Purslow confirming it.

 

After the meeting Rafa was certain he was safe and went off on hols thinking Broughton would have to back him. It seems he didn't because when it came to selling the club he thought having a manager who had forced out 2 successive MDs would be too powerful and dangerous.

 

So Purslow only stayed because of this, he is known within the club to be a liar and all professions (players, journos, lawyers) think he is a total cunt.

 

You also may have noticed Macia is now Chief Scout on the website. AFTER the falling out Macia had with Rafa Purslow promoted him. It seems Macia was feeding Purslow shite on Rafa (no doubt the 2 had confided before they fell out) because after the row Rafa had told Macia he would have to leave in the summer.

I don't know about all these opinions, speculations, and so called facts.

But, I have been on a lot of Forums now, and I can honestly tell you that he is vilified too such a degree, that I simply can't believe, he is the right man for the job.

 

However, most would say Roy isn't either. Only, we should be glad we even have a manager of his caliber, and men of Purslow experience at the moment.
