10 year Celebration issue

I got it today, just before leaving for work … I started to read 10 years of diary ion the metro, looks pretty good as usual. Funny to read some comments about Garry Mc, Sami or Didi and well done Dave not to be scared to let us read some of “the shite” you wrote at the time ….

 

As Dave celebrates the 10th anniversary of TLW with this special issue, I would like to thank him for running the fanzine and giving me some really good time reading it.

 

I’ve reading it for 7 years, have been subscribing for more than 5 years and I just wish there would be more issues, it is just so good reading, especially that TTW&R no longer exists and RAOTL is a shadow of what it used to be …

 

As you say in your Column, Dave, not that many fanzines manage to last up to 10 years, so keep it going, because we need TLW !

 

As I said in the fleabay forum, I'm still looking for some old issues, so if any one can help that would be nice : 5 - 6 - 8 - 9 - 16 - 17 - 19 - 21 - 25 - 35 - 43.

It truly is ace reading back some of the old diary. Absolutely fucking hilarious some of them. I was pissing myself laughing in bed last night. The Mrs was getting well pissed off, so I had to go and read it in the living room!

I arrived home from work yesterday evening to see a large brown envelope looking up at me from the floor. When I saw it was the 10th anniversary issue I was delighted as I needed a shite and so I thought I'd read a bit of it when on the bog (surely the best place to read anything), however, it was such a good read that I got through the whole diary and all the Carra interviews while there, so when I stood up to wipe my sheriff, I collapsed as all the feeling had gone from my legs. I must of looked a right pillock on me toilet floor with cacks around ankles trying to get the feeling back into my legs.

The diary is fantastic. My favourite bit so far is the Andy Gray quote talking about the blueshite. "unless they are very careful they will never ever regain their bigger than Liverpool status of the eighties." Made me laugh that.
