Premiership's most overrated

Recommended Posts

Following on from my relatively successful "Premiership's poorest" thread, I am interested in who people think are the most overrated players in the league. I have been inspired by the two particular bugbears of mine in recent days:

Wayne Bridge - never seen anything to justify the hype. Not even the fact he's English can be used as justification for him being rated at all, but he's just had £12 million spent on him. For me, he's just a very ordinary player.

Scott Parker - has had an exorbitant amount of money spent on him over the years, yet apart from his time at Charlton, when he was half decent, I have never seen anything special from him. I personally think he's a poor man's Michael Carrick. Yet again, Man City are spending a wedge on him. Strange signing IMO.

And there are a lot of players in this league that are overrated, but I want to see what everyone else thinks first.

overrated, not underrated. Shay's the bees knees. Joint third best in the league with James, after Pepe & Cech

Cech is amongst the best in the business. He's not what he once was before his injury but he's one of the best goalkeepers on the planet.

Was.

Robinson was a very good goalkeeper at one point, but suddenly he forgot how to use his feet. If you notice now, when he dives it looks really awkward, its a weird tumble to the floor, like a falling tree. Its because he doesn't move his feet.

The fact he cant jump does not help his case much either. :P

A lot of people also rate the overweight, injured striker who dyes his hair at West Ham too.
