Half time and come on lads give Luton credit. They have defended for their lives and have thrown themselves in front of every shot.

 

It was obvious they would throw everyone behind the ball as much as possible but there is acres of space in the middle for Gerrard and Alonso to utilise and Babel is getting loads of the ball on the left but he cant cross for toffee.

 

Now its 1-0 Luton know they have to attack as they no longer have something to hold onto and i fully expect us to get another couple or so, especially if we push Babel as centre forward.

 

Babel for me as once again showed he is a centre forward and not a winger because he hasnt got a clue how to cross a ball but he certainly knows how to strike one.

Give him a break, will you. Several of his crosses reached the target (mostly Crouch) and his corners were mych better than Gerrard`s. Overall a good display from Pennant IMO.
