A mate of mine has had a premier club (or whatever its called now) season ticket for years and years. When his Dad is away on business I have been lucky to get a freebie a fair few times. What you describe is what I had, a programme, halftime cuppa and use of the two suites in the Upper Centenary Stand.

Comfy seat, good view, no queues, but to be honest I'd rather pay 40 notes less and take up a normal seat in the Anny Road or Kop. Alright as a one off or if you can afford it.

Has anyone used these in the past? Seventy or eighty sheets seems like a fair whack for a ticket, programme and a cuppa but the bar and food cues I'd imagine would be a lot shorter.

Do these go on sell on staggered dates the same as regular tickets or can you buy them as soon as they're released?

I've done Reds Bar a few times. It used to be an easy way to get tickets for European games. Reds Bar is nothing special but I guess it's better than the usual back of stand areas. Like a lot of our club's commercial activities the service was poor. The bar service was woefully slow. I don't think that's changed cos you can always see 2 or 3 rows of empty seats in the Lower Centenary for the first 10 mins of the second half most games. They seem surprised that everyone wants a drink at half time. The food is canteen stuff. Curry, lasagne, butties. You do get a free programme and they come round with team sheets but that's about it.

The centenary bar tckets are the biggest rip off in history. Absolute cack.

The Reds Bar yeah?

I know it's bloody expensive but trying to get tickets is a pain in the arse. The fan card is shite, I don't know anyone with any 'contacts' so that only leaves the beg/scab option on here. There is no way I'm going to pay stupid money to a tout if for the same money I can get a ticket from the club and they are going to profit from me.

If they were to go on sell as soon as they're released then I can get to see us a hell of a lot more often.

What are the seats like?

Biggest problem for me is on the couple of occasions i've been on hospatality you are seated in the comfy seats with all the suits.

They don't appreciate you having a sing song or giving out vocals.

Completly no point me being there if I can't support the team. Would rather sit in the pub!

I have just been offered a ticket from a friend who can't make it to the game, he seems to think that i can get the oppurtunity to get some shirts signed by the MOTM. Is this true? or will they be signed by an ex-player?

Doesn't matter either way really but i don't want to walk in there with a bag of shirts and look like a mong.

Thanks.

Ermm yet to get more details, he said it includes the pitch tour, buffet etc.

Ahh, looks like it's the executive matchday package.

I think it depends on how expensive the tickets are. The low grade stuff such as Reds Bar, The Sandon and the Glassy thing in the park usually have one of Phil Neal, Jimmy Case or Brucie hanging around. Shankly and Paisley suites may offer a bit more.

I once went to Sheffield Eagles rugby corporate thingy. After the game they brought in the whole rugby team. They hadn't even had a bath. All sweaty and muddy they were. Ace that.

Did you get to join them all in a big tin bath afterwards?
