You don’t give a shit about City winning the CL and making a treble that we never have?

I am very fucking far from being ok with this.

It's bollocks though isn't it?

Hand on heart, would you want to win the treble knowing liverpool football club had broke the rules?

PL thing will lead to sod all.

I wish it would but can't see it.

PL is all about 'the brand' and it is bad for brand if there is that sort of scandal.

Same with the Everton sruff - PL have facilitated cheating because they don't want the model to be seen as failing.

The charges against city are all IMO lip service - they get off, then league can say they looked at it...and things carry on and game just gets further violated by corruption and greed and sportswashing.

There'll only be movement once viewing figures go down. Money talks.

State of that cunt on the BBC live text:

"They have been the best team in Europe over the course of the last decade or so I reckon - so it's fair they win a Champions League."

Fucking hell.

They have been the best team in Europe in the decade.

Is it fair that they win the CL? No.

It was inevitable they'd get their grubby cheating hands on it eventually. Inter did better than I expected but weren't good enough in possession and wasted the 2 golden opportunities they did create. As good as Inter were defensively, you'd really expect defenders to be doing everything to throw themselves in front of the shot for the goal. Two Inter defenders just stood there like dummies.  I don't expect the media to constantly bring up all the charges they're facing, but it was genuinely distasteful how it wasn't mentioned once during the BT coverage and how the commentators instead spent the whole game talking of how this was the culmination of an organic journey built solely on great recruitment and hard work. The commentators can also get fucked just for comparing Ederson's save with Dudek's. City completing a treble seems like a fitting way to end this miserable season.

City had the advantage of cheating but they also had a fair bit of luck on their side tonight too. Inter had two chances that they should’ve buried and somehow missed.

Not arsed anyway. It’s got an asterisk next to it like all their other trophies and they’ll hopefully get it stripped off them in the future.

If Inzaghi had a squad of similar quality to the opposition, Inter would be champions tonight.

That’s the sickening thing about City’s success - they were badly set up tonight and their players weren’t at it mentally, but the disparity in money means that all that didn’t even matter too much and they stumbled over the line.

In a perverse way total domination by these to the point where they win everything every year is probably the only way anything can get done as it will kill interest, other clubs will give up and then the powers that be will have to act.

The worry though is that more corrupt money flows in and there are about 4 or 5 city type clubs who all cheat but share trophies around - feeding the 'greatest league' narrative and of course feeding the greed and cheating further with no fear of consequences.

If the PL do nothing then the fans should make a stand. mass cancellation of Sky subscriptions would scare the shit out of them.

What about BT sport, Amazon and potentially Apple TV. We are being taken for a ride but still pay the money.

Good luck with that.

They managed to completely ruin the game with VAR without so much as a whimper from supporters up & down the country. People are fucking spineless.

Right come on. Let's get these cheating investigations full steam ahead please. UEFA, FA, PL, this lot of cheating, thieving cunts are laughing at you.

Perhaps we can fold Johnson and Trump into the investigations, and get a bulk discount.
