  1. 1. Should we sign him?

At this stage we may as well turn him into a full time playmaker who contributes a few goals here and there. He's too much of a menace to leave out of the team but not good enough as a striker leading the line. He was lightening tonight.

Yeah I'm coming to that conclusion. I like him on the left.

Ten assists for the season now, not sure how many assists and how many "assists" but I'm not going to quibble.

Waiting in suspense for @dave u to completely change his tune on assists as “his boy” continues racking them up…

Dave: "Assists are just as good as goals."

Great cameo from Nunez. What interesting is what he does to defensive lines when he goes a little deep. They are petrified, because they don't want him picking the ball up and running at them, but equally they don't really want to follow him deep. And he never stops moving so it causes confusion they try and hand him on, but none of them want him and you can see how it breaks the back line and creates space. Diaz improves as soon as Darwin is doing his thing.

You know what, I feel sorry for those who can't find it in them to enjoy what Nunez brings. We are such a enjoyable team to watch when he's in it. And we're mostly completely turgid when he's not. He's one of those footballers who just lifts everyone around him.

This is exactly it. When he's not playing, I'm sat there counting the minutes until he comes on.

If nothing else Nunez makes us more direct,in the non Wimbledon way or United of the 90s way. An eagerness to shoot and take on players in and around their area as opposed to sideways passing constantly. Our attack is formidable and so is our midfield who now pick up when the forwards are heavily marked. The work both Jota and Nunez do even when they don't score is incredible. When you put so much pressure on the opposition the chances will come.

Apparently Darwin has 8 goals and 10 assists to his name halfway through this season, on course for app. 36 goal involvements this year.

Not too bad for a guy who's taken an overdose of the anti-scoring vaccine. Can't wait for the vaccine to wear off.

I'm still on Darwin Hill fighting. I'm far from alone, almost all of us are

He makes the whole team better, his movement is world class. He gets so many chances because he’s so good, as in not many players in world football can do what he does. That’s why we bought him not that it should even need justifying at this stage. The goals will follow and there will be lots of them

Stop making everything about Mo, take it to the Mo thread and stop doing my boy dirty with your bullshit stats that include 8 international goals for Gakpo (going back fucking ages by the looks of it) while ignoring the ones Darwin scored for Uruguay.
