Fernandes is the player they should build their attack around.

A cunt, but a talented footballer who wants to win.

Hopefully he's first out the door.

He's 27 and had one good season. He has been awful this season he won't leave them as they have just given him another contract despite his form this season

This. Just look at the amount of comments saying he's the first manager since Fergie that scares opposition fans etc.

They also said the opposition were in fear after they appointed LVG and Mourinho (big name serial winners). They even tried to spin Ralf as the godfather of gegenpress and how the master will out do his disciples in Klopp and Tuchel.

admittedly we all laughed when they appointed Moyes (the chosen one) and Ole (the club legend).

if ETH, who is being touted as the up and commer with a defined style of play, doesn’t work what do they do? They have tried pretty much every type of manager going who’s next? Big Sam?

Maybe Woy could have a go too. See if his methods translate to Manchester United…

Will Ten Haag improve them? Well they can't get much worse so that's the easy bit for him.

The hard part is being up against two generational talents in Klopp and Pep, for the next two years at least. He's also got Conte to compete with, an ever improving Arteta and Tuchell who'll want more success. Add a Newcastle throwing shit loads of money at this for the next 5 years....and it's going to be a tough ride.

It's one thing managing in a shit league with no competition or learning your trade in a two team league like Germany but the level of competition in the premiership and tactical nous of the managers here is on another level.

They'll change tact and go for lesser known players this summer. Scrapping the big name galactico plan and give him time to build his own squad but the pressure will be so high to win something within 3 years, they won't handle it. They are so far behind and it's the worst time in Premier League history to be playing catch up considering the spending power and talent of the other managers here right now.

He'll fail because of that, nobody needs to worry. They are fucked

What's so special about haag that makes him stand out. I've been asked am I worried by a manc I just said the only thing that worries me is klopp leaving. United with their timing though will probably see him find his feet as pep and Klopp leave.

The fans wont accept being also rans for 2 years. Ten Haag will need to make strides to keep the entitled wolves at bay.

Were amazing but often also rans because of city, throw Newcastle into the mix its not only Uniteds expectations that need readjusting it's the entirety of football.

Yep which is why the pressure is going to be ramped up. The only way he gets through the transition is if their fans suddenly accept that they aren’t “the biggest club in the world” like they try to claim.

They should go for a Marvel-style anti-hero overkill. Recruit Woy, Sam, Dyche, Mark Hughes and Pulis. The Tight Five. It would be great. For their 'reveal' video, they could show them being tracked down and enlisted one-by-one: Woy slumped in his study staring at his watch collection after relegating Watford, Sam puffing on a cigar in a night club in Ibiza, Dyche scavanging for worms on a rainy night in a farmer's field in Dunstable, Hughes huddled deep in his cave with a shotgun and a sheep, and Pulis selling ice-cream from a battered-looking van down a side-street in Oswestry. They could then be filmed (cue rousing music) striding side-by-side down Sir Matt Busby Way, all dressed in the same shiny suits, nodding at each other as Sam shouts: 'Let's DO this!'

I think thats awful man management that dropping Maguire to the bench. Unless he has asked not to be involved, the manager needs to say go out there, broad shoulders lift your chin and put in the performance of your life.

It certainly won't do anything for Maguire's nerves if something similar to THIS happens while he's dozing off on the bench:

They’ve got a bit of a problem with Ronaldo. He’s clearly head and shoulders above the rest and the only one who actually gives a shit however he’s 37 so does ETH persist with him up front or does he let him go?

I was looking forward to witnessing a masterclass by him in person today. It was most of the reason for agreeing to go to the game.

ralph calling out lingaard in his post match apparently. You hate to see it.

also love this headline in the guardian.
