We need a new GK, Adrian is worse than useless.

There's still time for Klopp to surprise us, he can't undo all that good work sticking with this clown of a keeper.

Not funny and uncalled for.  Klopp will work with what he has and probably see us through fine.  Knee jerk buying some other average keeper and throwing him into the derby was never going to happen.  Have no doubt Adrian is getting massive support in training and there will be some adjustments to the outfield set-up.

Also, it's worth remembering that Adrian fucked up for one of 7 goals at the weekend.

Seven.

Adrian wasn't the problem.

He gave Villa the momentum which wasn't there to begin with. He's fuckin awful and we can't kid ourselves over it. The drop off is extremely significant and opposing teams know it.

He is significantly worse than Alisson.

When he's good, he's mid-table Premier League standard; when he's bad, he's a liability.  Because it's the nature of reserve keepers not to play often enough to get good, he's usually bad. The same would be true of Gazzaniga, Vorm or any of the other names which have been bandied around.

True, but he is particularly bad at one aspect of the game that is pretty fundamental to how we play....we are gonna have to change that to minimise the risk he causes now.

Never meant to be funny when we're losing 7-2 to a below-average side. We're missing Allison for up to six weeks. We have more games than the derby for which Adrian cannot be trusted. Go out and get someone on loan from the lower divisions if you can or change the system as you suggest. There cannot be too many worse than this clown.

We’ve had worse in recent history.
Adrian deputised well last season in the league. Rather take our chances with him than some completely untested lower division keeper .

Nyland can do some strange things, but he can also be absolute sensational.

He is superior to Adrian, and he is availible on a free right now.

Are you Nyland's agent?

Seriously though, that 'type' of keeper fits more with our style of play than Adrian. I am also worried that if he makes another howler he will fall to pieces confidence wise. One mistake at Villa and we conceded seven!

Nyland's had his contract terminated by Villa, hasnt he? Honestly, there's some real knee jerk stuff being talked over this.

Im seeing people say throw Kelleher or even this 19 year old from Brasil we've just signed in for the derby. Fucking hell.

Adrian might have another gaff in him but kelleher, this 19 year old nor Nyland etc are not the answer. The answer is telling the outfield players not to put the keeper under unnecessary pressure with needless backpasses. The keeper then told to stop fucking about and launch it. The back 4 and fabinho to concentrate on defending rather than joining the attack at every opportunity. Finally, hendo restored to the team to give some organisation and attitude to those around him.

We have needed a new reserve keeper all summer, I think there was talk of Adrian going back to Spain.

This did not happen but must have meant at some stage we were looking to replace, we chose not to, pick your reasons why. What happened at Villa is immaterial, once we decided not to get a new back up we were never going to get one.

He is our second best keeper, we can agree he is not good but it doesn't alter the fact he is our second best keeper (Code aside).

Hmm, a Noggie you say, Code? A good job Fat Sam wasn't there to grass him up to the refs over some of those kicks from hand that were borderline outside of his area.

I did like it when he put his body behind the ball, and got his limbs in the way to stop goals being scored. On that alone, yes, superior to Adrian.

Stick or twist? A good quarterback controversey for a couple of months?

Yes the contract has been terminated, so he can find a new club.

It's Code, had Lucas been Norwegian we'd still be hearing about the blonde prince that got away and how we should be doing everything in our power to bring him home.

Hendo is instrumental in getting back on track. He’s a leader on the pitch, we hardly loose with him.

We might even see Milner playing to phase in some  steel into the team.

Hendo's also the best option for beefing up the vulnerable right hand side.
