In hindsight, yeah.

 

Suarez was gassed towards the end of that season and probably should have been hooked at 60 minutes in a good few games. In fairness to Rodgers though, the player would definitely have thrown a hissy fit, being the ultimate competitor that he was.

 

Another thing that irritates me is that Chelsea starting XI. They really were down to the bare bones in terms of first team players. What an opportunity.

To be fair during that season even with a 3 goal lead we never looked comfortable enough to risk taking Suarez off.
