Missed the first ten minutes. We looked excellent for first thirty minutes, but we've let them get some momentum in the last fifteen. Shelvey and Sturridge look to have a good understanding. I think we've coped with their attackers quite comfortably. That little baldy bastard they have in midfield has played well. Looking at their defence I believe Suarez would have a field day.

If Sturridge had been a bit more clinical this game would be history. As it is we going to have them charging at us for the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half. They will probably tire and we will run out easy winners but I would rather the game was over now.

We missed two nailed on opportunities in the first half - Sturridge and Shelvey, shocking misses really. Lets hope we don't regret it. Agree with you, we should play possession football and tire them out.

I really don't understand the inclusion of Suso, this seems like Hendo's game through and through.

 

Really pleased with Sturridge, don't care that he should have scored another. For somebody who hasn't played for months, playing on a shitty pitch, he looks very good.

 

As much as i'd love a partnership, I don't think we should try and make it happen. If it does, it does. The best way for the two to develop one is concentrating on their own game and it will happen. When they start trying everything possible to look for one and other, forcing it, it won't happen.

 

Need another goal because I have a feeling these'll score.
