You still get in trouble then. I'm not sure where the 'line' is drawn, but seeing a former pupil is usually a no no in any school. Although 10 years later? I don't think it would matter, but a couple of years later it would... and obviously, even if innocent, it would give rise to questions about when it REALLY started.

The point being that although he's a responsible adult, he's not her parent. So YOU could take your daughter to France and not have to answer anybody (providing it's not kidnap), but he can't (as her teacher, or just any old adult), even if she consents.

 

e.g. If you have no intention of harm, and next door's kid says "take me to America" (consenting) and you do that, you're in deep shit, even though there's no force.
