Not a chance of it happening. Rafa is too troublesome for them. he will ask fo funds to spend omn transfers.

 

They want a quiet guy who is jut happy to be there and work o n a small budget

I would just like to say that should a figure of Van Gaal's calibre come in to hold the metaphorical gun to Martinez's head an assume some of the responsibilities one might expect a manager to hold, I will be able to see where they're coming from and look towards the new campaign with some optimism. If the Sporting Director is a lightweight, we're doomed.

It's Hodgson mark II isn't it?

 

To be fair to martinez, he plays a lot better football than Hodgson rather and hoofball we got accustomed to. Still think he is only being brought as a cheap option as he outperformed other teams with higher wage bills.

He will play some nice football and if as reported he wont solely be responsible for new players I say give the lad a chance?
