hang on a minute Flanagan is the worst full back at the club? okay maybe he and Robinson are behind Enrique,Aurelio,Johnson and Kelly but due to their age and inexperience, they've both been fantastic most of the time when called upon i'd rather have Johnson or Kelly in against someone like Bale but he wouln't leave us wide open like the likes of Konchesky, Dossena and Degen in recent years, he is a quality young player

I must add I totally agree...

I'd like to go with Coates at the back because Carra has not been in form and like any other player not in form, he should be dropped. I'm hoping Kelly is back from injury because Bale is a big task for Flanaghan or Skrtel. Would love Gerrard to be available, going with a team of the following...

Reina

Kelly Coates Agger Enrique

Lucas Adam

Downing Gerrard Suarez

Carroll

Subs: Doni, Flano, Carra, Spearing, Henderson, Maxi, Bellamy

We should be a good shout to win with that team imo.

Wrong on so many levels. As a squad we overtook Spurs in the summer. IMO we are significantly better then them as a squad now. Someone said earlier on in the thread that we need to get at them from the off and I completely agree. Spurs are gutless cunts so 100% from the off and get an early goal we will come away with three points.

And what did our superior squad achieve at Stoke?

Some of our fans have to come down to earth. We strengthened our squad but their first 11 is much better than ours. We have to still hope that they have injuries to key players to win away.

They might not look strong but the likes of Modric, VDV, Adebayor etc will be up for it.

Also, why do people think that just because young players are potential they are good enough for the first team. I am afraid none of our youngsters have shown the kind of ability needed for the first team.

Looking forward to going down on Sunday.

I was more worried about how we'd fair at Stoke before last weekend and I still think Stoke will have been a tougher game than Sunday will prove.

It's too early to been putting up team news. With a bit of luck Kelly will be fit and will start. Imagine we'll hear more on him Gerrard at the back end of the week, although I can only see Gerrard making the bench at best.

I'm confident we'll get a positive result & right the wrongs of Stoke.

----------------Reina----------------

Flanagan----Carra-------Agger----------Enrique

--------Henderson------Adam----------

Bellamy--------Suarez---------Downing

---------------Carroll-----------------

And Lucas would be dropped for this tough away game why?

Given all Spurs main men are lefty's I would doubt we'd start with only Bellamy to help out Flanno, especially if we're going without our only specialised defensive midfielder.

To be honest as good as Flanagan is/will be, after a poor game against Sunderland, I would be nervous of him matching up against Bale at White Hart Lane. That said I don't particularly want to see Skrtel play there either, but I expect Kenny to stick with him.

Yeah they have.

I'd want Bellamy-Suarez-Downing supporting Carroll for this game.

Tottenham, to say the least, somewhat struggled with Nasri-Aguero-Silva supporting Dzeko.

Cannot imagine Kenny throwing Coates in this early, well i kind of can, cause he's hardly afraid to give a player a chance. But i think the likely thing is we'll see him in the carling cup a couple days later. Hopefully Gerrard is fit enough to get involved too. Any idea if that practise match has happened yet ?

What ?

The only players from Spurs that would get into our first choice 11 would be Modric, Bale and possibly Gallas or Ledley King if he wasnt such a sicknote.

We have a better team. We did last year too and we should of finished ahead of them.

Id go for:

Reina

Flanno

Carra

Agger

Enrique

Lucas

Adam

Henderson

Suarez

Carroll

Downing

Id also make a case for starting Bellamy over Carroll as his pace will murder the space they'll give us.

Can't see us being that offensive away from home, but that front four with Lucas and Adam (or Henderson) behind it would be pretty formidable.

Johnson

Gerrard

Suarez

How would Spurs players remove those? I'd take King, Modric, van der Vaart, Adebayor

Bale is overrated, good player but the wanking over him during those two games was pathetic. They should have cashed in when his stock was high.
