I dont mean to doubt our forum ITK and I thank him for passing on this information in the transfer speculation thread in the members forum, but what use is Hibbert to us at right back? He is 30 and surely there is better out there especially at the £14m suggested price.

Even for 18m he'd be a great signing. Absoultely class delivery and rock solid at defending. If we are shopping at Blueshite let's take Saha and Distin with us. Great prospects all of them, no wooden legs.

What I enjoy the most about Hibbert is that even though he lacks pace, his reading of the game compensates that.

Just been speaking to a lad I know through working with Everton in the community regarding a project we are looking to run, and he dropped it in about Hibbert coming over and Moyes is apparantley fuming because he has been offered a new contract, but the wages are no diffferent and Tony feels he should be on a level par with the likes of the next band of earners (Rodwell etc) due to his number of appearances over the last few years.

 

He has handed in a transfer request and Cahill has had his head turned by the developments on our side of Stanley Park too, and he is royally fucked off with the club for lack of investment in the playing squad and enabling them to push on.

 

Everton will not be spending money again this summer and it is causing a bit of unrest amongst Moyes' main players.
