Kun has already released a statement that he is leaving Madrid to win trophies. These twats are still going on and on about him coming to Liverpool though.

I don't get it. Are you writing off any chance of us winning anything in his career?

A 'Spic' paper? What's a 'Spic' paper? A Spanish paper?

Goodness me.

Are you for real lad?

Sorry lads, it was wrong to call them spics.

@ ppl who say I am writing off our chances. I am being realistic tbh. I can't predict the future but we are a long way from a League title. Let us not put excessive pressure on the players by having unrealistic expectations. CL forget it, we need to qualify for it first- which will be a very big task for us next season. I am guessing the same view would be shared by someone playing in the la liga. I want to thump my chest and say that we are going to win the league next year but I am sorry I can't.

Good job it ain't you selling this to potential signings then. Suarez has bought into it, Reina has an all. That's enough to keep me confident that we are well on the right track.

Marca have a long, long history of this sort of behaviour and I'd be surprised if Aguero ends up at Madrid. But nor do I think he'll end up at Anfield.

But stranger things have happened than either of those two scenarios.

Marca are to Real Madrid what Goebells was to Hitler. A propeganda machine. It wouldnt surprise me if this was true at all.

Well if Juve can be in serious contention, then no reason we couldn't.

I still think his wages would be the real stumbling block though. Not sure exactly what he's supposed to be on but it's apparently pretty huge.

On Mata, if there's anyone that could convince his old man that Liverpool is the right place for his boy then it would be Kenny. We've a nice number of Spanish speakers, he'd be guaranteed a starting place. £22m would be a steal imo.

Don't know why i'm doing this to myself. Not happening.

Probably all of the bonds they've taken out over the last year, plus they've paid off most of the high-interest stuff.

BBC News - Manchester United's Glazer family to pay off PIK loans

They aren't skint at all. They are rammed full of debt still, but when you win the league and are in the ECL final I guess revenues are probably up.

The money is still coming out of the club to pay for it, you can be sure of that, the Glazer's aren't interested in shelling out £70m from their own pockets just to be helpful.

I hope Atletico sting them for De Gea. That's 1 player down, just need another 2 or 3 to retain some sort of parity with last season, then they just need to rub their beads together and pray Ferguson doesn't peg it.

We're going to smash fuck out of them next season. Smash fuck.

The People are reporting that Liverpool and Chelsea are fighting it out for Wigan midfielder James McCarthy. The Irish international has impressed for the Latics since arriving from Hamilton for little over a million in 2009. The Reds had been interested in the player prior to his move from Hamilton and Assistant Manager Sammy Lee scouted the 20 year old in the match against Everton a few weeks ago and gave a glowing report back to Kenny Dalglish. The Reds are targeting 3 midfield signings, according to the paper, and are hoping to steal a march on Chelsea, who are also interested in the player. McCarthy could cost as much as £8million though, as Wigan manager Roberto Martinez rates him very highly.
