Imagine the rage of Spur's fans if we get Llorente ahead of them.

Not that it will happen mind since their president has said that he will not sell him now due to elections and may have secretly agreed to sell him to Real Madrid in the summer.

'Twas only a joke Beantown. It's fairly well known that Harry Redknapp has paid off several mortgages through his crooked transfer dealings over the years. He has even faced charges for tax evasion.

I tried to imply - in jest of course - that your "I like how he thinks when it comes to the transfer window" might be a statement his accountant would approve of, but not his lawyer.

With Aquilani off our books and Pienaar on theirs, I think Spurs' wages is more --- We have higher contracts, but they have more around 70,000 and up. (I think their hard cap is 80,000 p/w)

Im not sure on 'net' spend. I think with Alonso and Mascherano's sales not being reinvested, they might have spent more, too.

Llorente would be my first choice to replace Torres, though I doubt he'd join us with Torres leaving.

25 year old, World Cup-winning, Basque(-qualified) target man; strong, good in the air, solid finisher. His stats are 94 goals in 274 club games (36 in 73 over the last two seasons) and 7 goals in 13 international games. Not as exciting a player as Torres (at his best), but suited to English football and perhaps playing alongside Suarez...
