England midfielder Joe Cole, 29 years who playing in Chelsea club since 2003, is on free transfers this summer after they are not renewed their contract. Also Chelsea club confirmed that the player to leave the club.

Moreover, Joe Cole played 282 games for Chelsea, scoring 39 goals and won three premier league and three FA Cups. The player announced that he wants to focus on the World Cup 2010, and try to do his best for the England team over the next few weeks.

Do we have any realistic chance of snapping him up? Also, do we have enough in our wage budget. I think we could do much worse than to get him. Interest will definitely heat up if he has a good World Cup.

He'll make his choice after the world cup...

He wants to stay in London -

Arsenal and Tottenham want him and have CL and cash

Man Utd and City want him - They have cash, and Utd have the CL, whilst City will compete in the years to come.....

If we get Kenny in - and he gets to spend all the cash sales can generate - Torres and gerrard stays - (and the owners fucks off - sooner or later) - Anfield's atmosphere and the name of the club could give us a shout, but in terms of wages we'll have problems competing or risk blowing our current wage structure.....

Don't think we have the money in the wages budget. Arguably the fee if we sell Yossi could go towards Joe Cole's wages, but even taking this into account, there would still be a gap to bridge.

He is not a player without risk, as his injury record of late would show. Still, he'd be a top addition to the midfield, so he should be considered, but in all likelihood will be beyond us at the moment.
