Like I pointed out the other day, the net spend theory is flawed.

 

Rafa was ready to sell Alonso for £15M last summer, but got £35M or him this summer, what does that tell you about Rafa`s judgement of players values.

 

But still it puts him in a good light among the net spend brigade.

 

In the 05/06 season we had a superior squad to the one we have today, the only person responsible for weakening it is Rafa Benitez.

 

For your net spend theory, only Ferguson have had a higher net spend than Rafa in the PL history and he has been involved a little bit longer.

Yep had a look and the site is full of shit - not bothered on Rafa either way but that site is shite in respect of our transfer fees in and out - Torres 26.5, Keane 20.3 in and 12 out, Aqua 20, Nunez 3 LOL are some of the "highlights".

 

Edit: just had a look at Utd and they have zero fees against Nani, Anderson and Tevez as some of their highlights....

How people seem to be talking of Mourinho as the second coming is getting on my tits. His teams know how to play on the counter and how to make the most of set pieces yes, but his teams don´t play attractive football. It´s funny how everyone seems to have forgotten he was sacked from Chelsea for not playing the attractive football Abramovich felt his money deserved.

 

He did very well at Porto but to be honest he had things served to him on a silverplate at Chelsea.

That Rafa isn't a soothsayer?

 

Alonso was worth 15 million, had a fantastic season and increased his value to 35 million.

 

 

Nobody has ever said that Rafa is above criticism, but the level of wrongness in the vitriolic poison spat his way is over the top.

 

And just as a little bubble burster, the owners won't spend money (we haven't got) on new players, so why do people delude themselves that the owners will spend money (we haven't got) on a new manager?

 

Rafa won't walk, and he won't be sacked.

 

There is a lot that needs sorting out, such as the attitude of the players, and particularly the attitude of the senior players towards their manager. This is something that needs to be sorted out. Would man utd's captain shake his head at a substitution?

 

I agreed with the substitution, but I don't like the open disharmony in the club. Rafa's responsibility or not, this needs addressing.
