  1. Even Kenny must get that now.
  2. Yesterday I watched the Season Review DVD of 09/10 and it stirred up some emotions in me. Knowing he´s no longer a Liverpool player it made me sad to see the number nine in action. Though I know he was great for us, it still amazed me just how great he was. Banging in goals from out of nothing, setting up his team mates for easy tap-ins, holding off world class defenders like they were twelve years old, scoring amazing headers... I could go on. 72 goals in 116 matches. As much as it hurts, I don´t think we´ll ever see a better striker wearing red.
  3. That´s not going to win anyone over is it Roy? :wallbutt:
  4. What worries me the most isn´t the defensive approach by Roy Hodgson, it´s the fact that Gerrard and Torres, two players who are widely recognized as world beaters, all of a sudden look like average players. Way to go Roy. :(
  5. There I said what every LFC fan thinks.
  6. Don´t know how many of you know this but Rafa´s former assistant is manager for the Swedish team AIK and has gone on record about his own managerial skills and his view on Rafa and Liverpool. I decided to make this post because I want you to know who the real Alex Miller is. Here are his best quotes in the article. "I don´t want to blow my own horn but people are not aware of my contribution to Liverpool" "When Rafa went to Portugal in 2004 to see Carragher Owen and Gerrard they said "if there´s anyone you should keep hold of it´s Alex Miller" "The rest of Rafa´s staff were hand puppets. That´s the way he wanted it - he dug his own grave". This is not a wind-up. 7. Hi mates, I have a question for you: If Mascher signs for Inter Milan in a 20 million deal as expected and we use that money to buy Figueroa for left back cover and Carlton Cole to take some pressure off Torres, wouldn´t you say that would make us stronger? I would. How would you spend the money that will be generated from the sale of Mascherano? Cheers
  8. What a load of shit. Torres is holding the club hostage and you´re defending him? If these quotes from Villa are real then Torres isn´t half the man he thinks he is.
  9. A good thing about Roy is he won´t steal as much attention from the press as Rafa. I think the players will appreciate the fact that their manager won´t make the headlines anymore.
  10. The only manager we could get who is of Rafa´s standards is Guus Hiddink. He´s about ten years older than Rafa though, isn´t he? If history is any guide he won´t stay around for more than a couple of seasons either. Fuck it with Rafa we had a future, now it feels like we´ll be the next Leeds in a couple of years.
  11. I wouldn´t trust Walcott to buy me a gallon of milk, Capello was right to leave him out. Totally overrated.
  12. Rafa: Torres Reina Alonso Luis Garcia Agger Ged: Hyypiä Hamann Heskey Riise Henchoz That´s my take and Rafa´s signings takes it for me. Does this mean he is better in the transfer market? I would say so.
  13. No one has an opinion on this? What the fuck?
  14. This has been on my mind for quite some time. He´s been here five years and I hear many argue he should have handed us the title by now claiming he has spent a lot of money. But shouldn´t we look at what other clubs have been doing? Man Utd and Chelsea have quite a few players that cost a lot of money that are not even regulars, and if I´m not mistaken even Tottenham have outspent us in the transfer market during Rafa´s reign. What d´ya reckon?
  15. Young player, only 21 years of age and it´s no secret Rafa rates Argentinians. Valencia midfielder Ever Banega is keen on securing a summer move to Liverpool, Goal.com has learned. It appears that Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is set to raid his former club to fill the void left by the departure of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid last summer, with Alberto Aquilani's signing having not filled that void as expected. Now it is believed that Banega is fully in favour of a move to Anfield, despite the lack of UEFA Champions League football on Merseyside next season. Sources close to the 21-year-old central midfielder have told Goal.com Spain that the Reds have put on the table a four-year contract, which has delighted the midfielder, paving the way for a move which would see him link up with fellow Argentinians Javier Mascherano and Emiliano Insua. It is understood that Liverpool have made a bid of around €10 million, Banega's buyout clause, but is considerably less than the €18 million los Che paid Boca Juniors to take him from the Bombonera two years ago. Since leaving his home country, Banega has endured an up-and-down time in Spain, struggling to settle at first and being the subject of a fairly embarrassing 'video scandal'. He was loaned out to Atletico Madrid and monitored by Everton, but was eventually recalled by coach Unai Emery and realised his potential this season. Alongside David Villa and Silva, Banega was hailed as one of the key components in Valencia's team, who have secured third place in La Liga behind Barcelona and Real Madrid. Valencia's financial problems are well publicised and despite talk of potential big-money departures from the Mestalla, such as David Villa, Silva and Juan Mata, the transfer income from such sales would not be sufficient to get anywhere near clearing their debt, which is now in excess of €600m. As a result, every player is unofficially for sale this summer in what could be another make-or-break transfer window for the club. 16. Apologies if been done but how many teams will qualify for the Europa League?
  17. I don´t think we should sign him, we already have a Rafa and we need no more.
  18. I´ve been waiting for Pepe to resign from international football but so far it hasn´t happened. He´s hands down a better keeper than Casillas yet he won´t get a game. He really should consider quitting international football. It would surely be the best for him and for Liverpool Football Club IMO. Pepe is boss.

Rumour has it we´re looking at Lazio´s Aleksandr Kolarov. Is he any good?
