Without hijacking the SOS thread because it takes away the impotes of the subject Gillett wants out but does not want to sell to Hicks.

 

It seems to me that Hicks has told Rafa that if he gets rid of Gillett then he will also get rid of Parry so therefore he has Rafa's backing.

 

Hicks can not afford to buy out Gillett 100% so therefore he needs another investor to come in and help him out but who in the current financial world would buy say 98% of Gilletts shares allowing Hicks to buy the other 2% and therefore Hicks be the majority owner.

 

This would be only for Hicks to gain control there is the small matter of a new stadium to think about then.

 

Dubai were Hicks and Gilletts fall back option but that has now gone with more or less zero chance of them returning unless the price was to fall drastically and even then Dubai have other things to worry about then spending money on a football team.

 

Like i said protesting to Hicks will make very little difference to the man himself because he could not give a shit what the fans think as long as the stadium is full and the shop is selling well.

 

What the protest will do however is just remind anyone who was thinking of investing the club to help Hicks just what sort of reaction they will be getting by helping Hicks out.

 

That's the key there. We need to make sure that any possible investor going into business with Hicks must know that he will immediately become an enemy to Liverpool fans everywhere and so whatever business he tries to promote through us will immediately be treated with the same lack of regard. We want other investors to know that we will not suffer a repeat of the farcical ownership we have seen now, but that if someone does come in with a full buyout and manages us correctly, then they will receive our full support. First and foremost must still be the ownership issue and our long term future. That overrides everything, including a possible league title.

Agree with that coop, but apart from all of that, I want a protest just to make that cunt feel a bit uncomfortable and reluctant to come to Anfield.

 

As it is, he and gillett can come and go as they please withou getting any kind of flak. We're a soft touch, they should be shit scared of setting foot on Merseyside, but they aren't.

 

We should take this opportunity to protest against Hicks, for the reasons you mentioned above, I just wish we'd do something against Moores as well, he swans in and out of every match, home and away and it's because of him, the greedy cunt that we are in this mess in the first place.

Even if he flew into JLA he wouldnt go through the normal passenger exits.

 

They have special arrangements for private planes.

I'm not convinced yet on becoming a mamber so attending a meeting would give me insight to the things that go on

 

there's never been a requirement to be a member before - just when there's a vote, peope who are not members are asked not to vote, but that pretty much comes down to trust.

But the harsh truth is, we WILL suffer if there is a repeat of farcical ownership. If Hicks brings in one of his buddies who shares the same vision as Hicks (ie., fuck the fans, let us start counting the money), there is fuck all we can do about it.

 

Yes, it gives any future investor something to think about if we protest. But, it also sends out a message that regardless of the protests, there will still be 40k arses on their seats. Which gives enormous strength to people like Hicks, who doesn't give a shit about anything as long as the stadium is full.

 

Protests are fine and looks like the only option right now but if we want them to take us seriously, seats need to be empty - even if it is an away cup tie. Can't see it happening unfortunately - ever.

If there's a production company filming it it won't be because SoS have that capability or money. It will be getting done either as a favour or part of a TV programme or something. The union struggles to get venues for these meetings - audio conferences would be a massive ask.

 

I love people who dig out what the union is doing - they're just a bunch of fellas trying their best in their spare time getting little or no help from the likes of you, in fact they get only stick. If you think there should be audio facilities, contact the union and tell them you'll oprganise it. They won't say no.

Until shitheads like you two stop having a dig at people, it's unlikely they'll point out that there are audio conferencing services available that you setup on the web and that will give you a % of the long distance charges hence making it a revenue generator.

 

But hey with the attitude of you self-appointed SOS body guards display, you'll probably never get the benefit of that kind of insight. It's YOUR loss.
