Reuters are reporting somthing different.

LONDON (Reuters) - Tom Hicks and George Gillett, the U.S. billionaire owners of Liverpool F.C., are on the brink of striking a partial sale of the club and dissolving an arranged marriage that has not delivered what fans hoped for.

The co-owners, who did not know each other before the purchase, are set to end a partnership that hit the rocks when Hicks revealed they had spoken to German coach Juergen Klinsmann about him replacing present manager Rafa Benitez.

Well that's a load of bollocks for a start.

Thanks Coop for the optimistic take on it. I think it is something like that too. This is far from over. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if DIC are putting pressure on Gillett to get his whole share. Hicks won't like that, but I can't see what he can do. He might delay and bluster, but his underlying precarious position does not change.

When he wakes up to this he will do a deal. It might take a while yet though.

they dont take any shit and wont be messed about

Well, a deal could be close then or they desperatly want their hands on the club.

If they weren't that far into to talks and they were being fucked about they could have walked away no problem.

If DIC have already bid for Gillettes share shouldn't they just hold out for the ninety days now? then they could get 50% and be in a stronger position to get rid of fat bollocks, has this been covered? sorry if it has but theirs too many pages on this thread to trawl through.

Hasnt Hicks said that he has used his option to block DIC buying out Gillett? If so, then its hard to see how Gillett can still sell to them.

I definately dont think its iver though. The cunts are in the shit, big time. Its probably one last tool to try and drive up the price a bit more. They know DIC are desperate, and are making them pay.

DIC have come back in for a second time, id be hugely suprised if they walked away without the club.

And could this idiot not of waited another 30 odd hours before releasing that? I'm not saying we're now going to play shit against Inter because he released this but a bit of common sense wouldnt go amiss.

People worry about the media and shit like that destabilising us but instead our own fucking "co" owner is doing it. What a twat.
