I don't know why some people are still expecting us to twat them everywhere tomorrow. The same was being said in December and we saw what happened there. They're jammy cunts who are more than capable of making life hard for us if we rock up expecting a drubbing. They don't seem to have a game plan beyond hoping that one of their players does something good on the break - they're shit, but they're also 6th in the league somehow. I'd love to knock 6 past them, but I can't see it happening. 1-0 will do.

Nah I don't want to risk costing their manager his job until the league game, we could do without someone stepping in and on an outside chance galvanising them short term beyond their shit players ability. Steady win Sunday and a hammering in the league would be nice. Take nothing for granted though the league game these will play for their lives.

I don't think the manager will go even if we got another 7-0. But I don't want anything that might help them raise their level even 1% for the league game. There's nothing I would love more than a 0-2 win, 2 early goals and then just strangle and kill the game and not give them a sniff of anything and demoralise them to the point they feel no hope for the league game.

However, I think as anfield would be in the reverse situation, the place will be bouncing, helped by us having 9k there. I expect the game to be pretty wild in the opening half hour, and whoever deals with that the best will come out winners.

Personally I agree with klopp about the manc home game..we twatted them and it was just one of those days. It was 2 points dropped, but the scoreline had nothing to do with their defending and everything to do with our composure and decision making around the penalty area. We're much improved in that regard now. I think the thing about us now is we could twat absolutely anyone when we're at our best. And those teams who are not that good and especially not that good at defending, we can twat even when we're slightly below our best. Man united are definitely a team who can't defend, despite their anfield clean sheet.

Just found our the uefa cup final is the day before my missus 50th birthday and the cup final in the day after her birthday night out, with the weekend after that being her birthday camping trip.

Not sure how and when any parade might be, but had a conversation this morning that suggests it could be varyong levels of awkward if I were to need to remove myself from one or other of the events.

I think I need us to win the FA Cup and have the parade the next day to get away completely free, so if for no other reason than that it'd be great if we could win this tomorrow.

I agree. I’m more concerned about the league game than tomorrow.

Tomorrow, you expect them to have some sort of expectation on attacking, which helps us. With a 10k away support behind us, tomorrow feels like a great opportunity to win.

However, as much as I’ll obviously love it, I don’t want them on some revenge mission in April if we twat them 5-0 again or get a last minute winner. We approached the league game in 1999 like that and came back from nowhere to draw 2-2 (although to be fair, it all worked out Ok for the mancs, the twats).

Like when City beat them after we won there 5-0, a death by a thousand passes defeat would be more demoralising for them.

Obviously not going to complain about any sort of victory tomorrow and winning in any fashion is the main thing. I don’t think it will be as easy as some are making out and it’ll be a real fight.

Our pressing did pin them back very effectively in that game, yes (though they did have a few presentable chances on the break). But, for the majority of the game, they sat deep and were happy for us to have shots from distance. I agree, we are more than capable of hammering them, but the jammy cunts are 6th for a reason. I just don't see it playing out as an easy win. Hope I'm wrong, mind.

I’d consider telling your bird that you have another bird, a liver variety, that will be requiring your attention on those dates.

I’d then ready yourself for single life, and for nursing a black eye for calling your missus a bird.

This is where my head’s at, especially when you factor in that other variable….. you never know what kind of performance you’re going to get from the officials.

They will start like a train just like they did against the cheats the other week and we will need to weather that,  but if we can get an early goal I think their confidence is fragile enough that we could get a few .

We're going to need to be on it from the first whistle.

I really hope they do come out and have a right go at us....we'll murder them on the counter.

I think they have too , their whole season rests on this game and they will hope to get a lead to get the crowd up .

But of course the flip side is if they don't get a early goal they should be ripe for a decent counter attack

I know a few Man Utd fans and the consensus is that they are just limping along until the summer when they can re-calibrate with the new investor and backroom changes ( probably including a new manager ) and they are just expecting a Europa League place.

That seems to be there whole outlook pretty much every season,  next season will be better because... , We've seen this scenario before haven't we just like us back in the 90s

My lad told me the majority of the the money from the tax dodging Brexit cunt has gone to reduce the massive debt they have built up

10 years ago today. Could have been 7-0 that day, we absolutely twatted them.

That fucking day. Bittersweet for me. Always great to beat them but I’d woke up still pissed and thrown a few quid on a Gerrard and 4 nil scorecast. Fucker missed a penalty

I understand that there are lots of people on here who hate stats but everybody uses them now for a reason. They bleed shots. Klopp builds his entire sides on shot volume. I understand the Old Trafford, they're jammy cunts narrative but this really should be a comfortable win.
