Seen something yesterday, might have been on here, about Rangnick telling the club hierarchy that McGuire, Shaw and Wan Bissaka aren’t good enough to play for a top team. And sure enough he dropped all three of them.

Imagine the financial hit they’re gonna take by shifting and replacing those three. It’s great.

The danger is them having the money, and a shrewd enough manager,to replace them with quality signings.

This. For the first time since Ferguson left there are now a few small signs that they have a competent man in charge. A leader able to clean up the total mess they’ve put themselves in.

Thankfully it’s only a few small signs so far. The day he fucks off Wan Bissaka, Maguire and Shaw because they’re not good enough, Martial, Pogba, Cavani and others because they’ve got the wrong attitude and Ronaldo because he’s the past and not the presence nor the future, that’s the day they start their way back.

Agree with all of that except Cavani. If the likes of Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho had his attitude, work-rate, will-to-win and positional sense they would be far scarier than they are.

Such a shame he is 35 next month, such a shame.

Ralf is there until the end of the

season and then moves upstairs correct??

Best thing for them (worst for everyone else) would be to leave him in charge for a year or so to get them into a decent shape but be working on a proper replacement for him.

Yeah Cavani's attitude is spot on. They could have not bothered with signing Ronaldo, fucked Pogba off, and spent the money on a midfielder better than Fred and McTominay and allowed the young forwards to learn from Cavani.

Thankfully the club doesn't actually make decisions for footballing reasons.

When they did they won trophies.

I absolutely agree that from watching the matches Cavani’s attitude seems very good. At least his workrate is. But read somewhere that he’s a bit of a sulk off the field.

I obviously dont know, and to me it’s not a big deal whether it’s this or that player.

But it does seem they have a problem with the spirit and character in the squad, and a number of players have questionable attitude.

The question is if Rangnick is the man to clean that mess up, by getting rid of all the players with sufficient quality but wrong attitude. Because that’s one of the harder parts of his job.

Best thing for them would have been to have brought him in six months earlier than they actually did; sorting out this shambolic side is a full-time job, recruiting a new manager whilst also reorganising the coaching/scouting/etc is a full-time job.

Why bring someone in, mid-season, and ask them to do both?

This was the United bench at the weekend. Realistically all of them, bar Rashford, could be out the door during the summer.

P. Jones
J. Mata
A. Martial
M. Rashford
J. Lingard
E. Cavani
D. Henderson
N. Matić
D. van de Beek
They were missing Sancho, Lindelof, Shaw. Pogba, Bailly and Wan-Bissaka were out too but looks like they don't have a future either. Ronaldo is 37, Fred McTominay and Maguire are shit.

Olé spent £441m and they will need another rebuild. It's truly fantastic.

I wonder what kind of wages all of that lit are on too. It’s not as easy as selling them when no one else can match their bloated wages

Beautiful...

The rest makes some sobering viewing as well.

If they miss out on Champions League footy next season, and they feel Rangnick isn't the right choice for a DoF role ... Then what exactly are they going to do? That is surely the dream scenario for all non-Man Utd fans. Massively overpaid squad, no CL income, no leadership off the pitch.

Sadly it will never be last chance saloon with those cunts because of the amount of cash they bring in, but it could be a hell of a long time before they get close to challenging for honours again.

That’s even worse than I thought it would be.

it really would be epic. A public falling out or two with Ronaldo and another would also be good viewing.

Not enough is said about what a terrible signing Wan-Bissaka was. Hugely expensive, moderate defensively, offers very little going forward. He’s just not very good.
Some of their overpriced & overpaid players are washed-up. Some are just at the wrong club. Some might yet come good when the side finally gets sorted - even Victor Moses briefly became a vital cog for a title-winning team, amongst his 30-something loan spells whilst at Chelsea.
But Wan-Bissaka’s career peaked as a teenager with one season at Palace under his belt. It would be tragic if it wasn’t so hilarious.

They already have a director of football and appointmented him about a year ago. Some fella called John Murtough. Ragnick is supposed to be a consultant only once this season is done.
