It's too hot for trousers, and I need a new pair - any recommendations?

 

For reference, I prefer a longer length (*snigger) so as to avoid the obscenity of excessive knee flashing.

I haven’t bought any for a few years,

but I used to swear by Gant shorts. Chino-style ones. Regular fit, not the daft slim fit ones you see bits of kids in. Look smart with everything - t-shirts, short sleeve shirts, polo shirts.

I'm sat here in above shorts, a green and white Puma top and a pair of black Dockers. Finished the weekend shop and just made myself a fuck off plate of mixed fresh fruits to tantalise and tingle my taste buds. The Mango and Cherries are to die for old chap.

From memory, the hem skimmed the knee. Would depend on how long your legs are though, I reckon. I’ve got a long body and short legs (31” inside leg).

Still smart enough to wear whilst out and about mate. They also have a zipped back pocket. Your Knees would be on show though, they end just above them. Unless you go down the Cargo route most shorts are knee length.

15:15 pm here, so I was just having an alternative afternoon snack. Thanks to BBN I've just ordered another pair of shorts, you can never have enough.

Yeah, that's my issue. I mean, I've got lovely lallies, but a mere flash of my powerful thighs could distract passing traffic. I need to be careful.

I'm the opposite, I hate wearing longer length shorts. Flaunt the knees and thighs I say.

We're in shants territory here, don't tell @Ezekiel 25:17. 

 

I've moved on from my shants loving days and now prefer a skinny, chino short, rolled to just above the knee for when I'm out and about (including work) and some casual sports shorts for lounging. Almost exclusively purchased from TK Maxx.

Smart, very comfy, proper sized pockets so everything doesn’t fall out when you sit down and look good with everything.

I’ve a black pair for work, wouldn’t wear them for anything else personally.
