The fact is neither camp pushed for it enough. Freddy Roach even blamed Pacquiao/Arum for it not happening.

 

Neither are remotely afraid of the other. But both are to blame for it not happening sooner, in my opinion.

Cotto/Canelo is as big a fight as there is in the sport, I hope they agree terms and you get to go. Would be brilliant for the sport if Canelo wins a very competitive bout with a KO; a two-fisted, power punching young dynamo who, fights everyone, and happens to be the middleweight champion of the world is exactly what Boxing needs.

Manny accepting that would cut him out of the PPV sales, he'd basically be accepting about £25 million cash to fight Floyd, whilst Floyd pockets near £150 million based on worldwide PPV, ticket sales, image rights and every thing else. He'd of been a moron to accept that and rightfully at the time told Floyd 50/50.
