My Grandson tripped up and went sprawling over the weekend putting a hole in the elbow of his school coat so I ordered him a new one from Marksies and paid for next day delivery so it should have arrived today.

 

I got an email from them yesterday to say it had been despatched, so waited in for delivery.

2:00 comes and no sign so I checked the tracking again and DPD still hadn't received it  so I got in touch with M&S to see why.

 

It turns out that the coat was out of stock and that's why DPD hadn't received it so I told them I had received an email informing me of despatch, so how could that be if it was out of stock. 

 

Now I actually feel sorry for the poor sods in these call centres for having to spout the absolute bollocks about the system failing to upgrade stock level information etc, so I asked why I wasn't informed of this when it became apparent and why didn't they action a refund.

 

A clearly flummoxed girl couldn't answer my very simple question and transferred me somewhere else where I had to go through the whole thing again.

 

The eventual response was a refund which will be back in my account in 3-5 working days.

 

So they took an order and money for an item that showed was in stock but wasn't, sent an email saying it was on it's way when it wasn't causing me to have to stay in all fucking day unnecessarily, then making me wait for my refund for the best part of a week and the poor little lad's got no fucking coat.

 

Now that's annoyed the shit out of me.

 

We'll be nipping down to Next in Aintree when she finishes work.

M&S can fuck off. Cunts.
