Surely teams throughout the lower leagues would love to have Brad Smith on loan. Managers love pace like that in the lower leagues. Fullbacks that can run the whole wing are gamechangers at that level.

The whole back 4 have looked solid.

Sokolik has been impressive.

Never really noticed him before.

We really need a developmental club, Blackpool would be ideal if oyston wasn't such a cunt.

These lads look outstanding against fellow youths but they need to test themselves against seasoned pros. We've seen so many players look the part at youth level but never push on.

McLaughlin and Smith should go on loan as there behind 2 established 1st choice fullbacks and young back ups like Kelly flanaghan wisdom and Robinson.

IMO McLaughlin looks like a much better player than flanaghan and Robinson, wisdom will end up as a CB

Is Tranmere too obvious?

Rather a top half championship club

I'd prefer a league one club, the main advantage to be gained is with players like Sama, Smith and Ngoo who aren't quite amongst our top prospects and need a chance to prove themselves (not least so they can earn paying moves to clubs at a decent level if they don't make it here). The cream of the crop will get that chance regardless.

Take with pinch of salt but apparently Ngoo was telling people he's joining Birmingham on loan, again not sure how true it is.

Yeah I'd probably agree with that, he'll make it as a pro, probably a championship club and have a decent career

He seems to have massive desire which is half the battle. Always reluctant to write off a player at 19/20 but the good ones - or good enough to make it at Liverpool - are normally obvious by that age.

I think he's one of the most underrated players around. Definitely needs a move that stretches him. He plays within himself at this level. Mainly because he has a great understanding of the game and is an extraordinary leader for his age. He can dictate how the midfield plays and it's very impressive how often, when they need him, he steps up.

Still got a touch of the Robinson/Flanagan's in the tackle though. Hopefully the Blackpool loan rumours are true (we should consider sending them Ibe as well if we get Ince), given some experience he could still very much make it here. Especially when we are light in that area beyond Lucas and Allen (even if we went out and signed Wanyama/Sissokho or the like there'd be room for one more).

That academy is in brilliant shape.

This is what Fowler tweeted

@Robbie9Fowler: A young lad just about to come on for a few mins for Liverpool in nextgen... Jordan rossiter, big shout but potentially a young stevie g..

Tony Barrett seemed to agree and all.
