Am watching all six plus clone wars movie in between episodes 2 and 3. Am halfway thru clone wars, only the second time I've seen it. Breaking things up nicely.

Honestly JM, I would fuck all this Star Wars shite right off and plonk your child down in front of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly followed right after by Dirty Harry.

Give the bairn a cigar, a hotdawg and a few cans, then sit back and relax in the knowledge that you're a resoundingly fantastic parent.

Mr Eastwood > Vader = FACT

I swear to God that Royal Mail sit watching your house before they attempt a delivery.

I nipped out for literally 10 minutes and theres a card through the door telling me I can pick my parcel up in 48 hours (Bank Holidays)

So no Star Wars until Turesday.

Arse!

I'll dig out my tatty old copy of 633 Squadron, it'll set my boys up nicely for the Death star attack scene instead.

is that the animated one? is it actually worth watching, always got the impression that one was more aimed at kids and probably not really in line with the series possibly, although I do enjoy playing that Forced Unleashed game on the XBOX and think its a good little story to have inbetween episode 3 and 4, never been on the second one though

If anyone wants to get into some Star Wars other than the original three, you could do a lot worse than to read the Tomothy Zahn Heir to the Empire trilogy of books. They've made Dark Horse graphic novels of them too. They contain one of the greatest characters ever - Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Yeah that's the one. Don't expect anything great or even good but if you like Star Wars and don't have a massive emotional hang up about the prequels it's worth a watch.

Some of the lines from Attack of the Clones had me in stitches:-

"Our evidence points to disgruntled spice miners back on Naboo". Disgruntled spice miners, haha (this was in response to Yoda questioning the explosion on the landing platform at the start).

"Have you no sense at all?" (Threepio to R2)

"I wonder what happened to poor little R2" (Threepio again)

Got the box set on Tuesday.

So far we've watched episodes 1-4 in sequence.

Episodes 1-3 were still as bad as I remember but looked good on blu-ray and the sound was really quite incredible,

(Seismic charges in ep 2 nearly shattered the windows!)

Episode 4 was a joy to behold....again.

The most interesting point of note more or less sums up this threads views, I sat with my 2 boys throughout.

Episodes 1-3 they were watching it, amazed at the visuals but constantly asking questions as to who was who and why did they do that.

Episode 4 was watched in near silence.

As I predicted the opening sequence was greeted by a quiet "wow did you see that"!

And after it had finished they didn't ask a question, other than can they watch it again, they never asked to see 1-3 again straight after.

Tomorrow its Empire.

Cant wait.

Shame on you. I've contacted Social Services.

Yes, they were released on limited edition. I have a set. The original theatrical versions were included on a bonus 2nd disc. Released in 2006.

Well you did ask! Seriously, he said Han's story needed fleshing out or something and said that it wasn't satisfactory in the original. I think the scene appeared in the novel adaptation which was credited to Lucas but written by some other dude.
