Crikey, crying after losing a snooker final. Poor lad, feel a bit sorry for him. Obviously was his first major televised event, the emotions got to him. Hendry would have just shrugged it off with a "meh". Had the bastard ever lost a major final (yeah he did, but it was a rare event).

There was a moment in a match earlier in the tournament when he missed the opportunity to yell his catchphrase. The white went in and he just meekly said "Where's the cue ball... gone?" in a really disappointed voice.

No, he was living a couple of towns over for a while but couldn’t find a suitable time to meet up with him because I was doing shifts. Last I heard he was living in Southend which is a fair distance from mine and he’s apparently tee-total now. I can’t play snooker if there’s no Guinness involved. I only start playing well after two or three pints.
