No, I stand by it. I think he's the superior player, whatever about his moral fibre. He's still a kid too and will get better and better, injuries permitting.

It's a tough one this. Maybe you would say Fabregas because he is about 4 or 5 years younger than Alonso i think. Fabregas is a very good player yet he cannot score goals, but that may change as he gets older. Alonso is far superior in terms of ability with the ball but ahhhhh i will have to say Fabregas. He is only going to get better and he is very very consistent in his performances.

Well the lack of movement is Rafa's fault as much as anybody's. Hopefuly Xabi will finally have some of that in front of him after the next transfer window.

 

With regard to technique etc, I don't think there's much between them, but I think Xabi lacks the pace to be truly world class.

Fabregas isn't as good as people make out. He's a good player, but nothing more IMO.

 

Who has a better long pass/vision? Alonso. Who has a better shot? Alonso. Who's the better tackler? Alonso.

 

I'm not saying Alonso shits all over him, but as a player he's more complete.

 

Arsenal's formation allows Fabregas to just stroll around doing what he wants, I think he'd struggle in our team though myself.

I think Fabregas is the better player due to his mobility, at 19 years old he is a special talent, however one is a holding player and the other an attacking player.
