Kabak would count as an U21 player so we wouldn't need to unregister anyone to add him to the squad. Not sure on Carmo but probably the same thing.

Really don't know why Schalke are doing this, cashing in on Kabak would make sense but not a loan. Bringing Mustafi in would weaken them and they're already as good as relegated. I guess Kabak might not have a relegation clause, but regardless, they'd be better off playing a kid from their academy than signing Mustafi.

Money, given they're skint? We're giving them £2.5M to loan Kabak and Arsenal are giving them £2.5M to scrap Mustafi.

For clarity - Taken from the offal Premier League site:

What is a Home-Grown Player?

A "Home-Grown Player" means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

Rules on U21 players

Under-21 players are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players per squad. For the 2020/21 campaign Under-21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 1999.

Davis is like 25 so he still needs to be registered no? Also Kabak is like 20 but a foreigner not trained in UK so then he needs to be registered, at least as far as I know (caveat: all my knowledge is based on FM19 or thereabouts).

Davies still needs to be registered. Yes.
