He's not much of a LB - if it is him and another top CB (I am not sure Ake is) then I guess.

 

They will need to flush either Stones or Otamendi - probably both.

Unsure re Otamendi, they’ve said they’re selling Stones... Garcia has taken his spot. They’re selling Mendy, looks like Ake will take his. They’re also after Koulibaly.

They will be lucky to get half that back on Stones and Mendy.

Been linked with Jamal Lewis from Norwich. They want £20m but they lost a ridiculous amount of money due to the lockdown so probably will get held to ransom. No way would we pay that for a back up left back.

Walker is a good RB. He’s no Trent, but still second best in the league IMO. They also have Cancelo as his back-up. I recall Ake being very good at LB for Watford, but that would’ve been 5 years ago now... Anyhow, I don’t think money is an issue for them. I have read that they’re after Alaba as well, and he’s available on a free.

Only thing Walker has going for himself is pace.

 

Max Aarons is an excellent player.

If they bring in Ake and Alaba that is just taking the piss. And, would not be a great move for Ake - Alaba is a better player in both positions for me.

Looks pretty good - Alaba might struggle with some of the pace merchants he would come up against but he is very good.

Sounds like an additional 25-30mil for Alaba.

 

So chuck @ 135mil on the fire and hope to be able to sell Stones and Mendy in this market. And be stuck with Otamendi. 

I think they will also look at someone to bolster the striker spot - thats 200 mil and counting.
