New car advice...

Just got a ex demo Toyota Auris hybrid. Sensible and dependable, just like the wife.

The point being got a great deal, as others have said, on a ex demo model. Virtually new, top spec and £9000 off new price. Not an exciting car to drive but very fuel efficient.

Sales person also pointed out it had a built in CD player, unlike most new cars. I am not sure what that says about us.

Used to have a 10 year old Astra, so the Toyota actually goes from 0-60 faster.

let's hope you're servicing the wife more often than every 12 months or 12000  miles.

I tried to word my post in such a way that no childish link could be made between the car and my wife. I obviously failed.

I would add, anyone getting a car now should definitely go for automatic. So much easier imo.

I was against them but had an automatic Golf for 3 months in work and couldn't imagine going back.
