Android developers

Any android developers in the audience? I'm learning java at the moment and have a few ideas for apps etc and i'd like to switch over to Android java. I was hoping to set up a small remote workgroup for online 'meetups', brainstorming and skill exchange with a view to completing a project.

Haven't even attempted the email server yet. I was warned off it by a friend. He knows how busy I am and said he didn't think it should be a distraction now as "Email servers are a fucking cunt". So I took his word and put it on the back burner. Mavbe in the summer when I'm off uni.

Email servers seem to be one of those things that haven't progressed.  Setting one up looks like a trip back to unix of 40 years ago.

The guy that warned me off them is the smartest guy I know. If I ask him a question computer-wise, not only will he know the answer he'll usually know better, faster ways to do it and have experience in a few ways. He lives and breathes software. He knows I have other priorities at the minute and that setting this up would be a black hole for my time/energy.

This can't be true. You know Uncle Meat.  He can answer trivia questions about the binary patterns of 6809 op codes. From memory.
