Just downloading Uprising over on the Xbox now. Another chunky DLC file at 1.73Gb.

Just finished my usual little play around on the DLC maps, and they are pretty good.

 

Studio is just Firing Range from Black Ops that has just been re-skinned. Very bright and colourful now. If you've played Firing Range, then you'll know how this map plays.

 

Magma is quite a large map with plenty of scope for different engagements. Didn't really have a good look around the whole map to be honest, just stuck to one side of it for the most part, but there were plenty of lines of sight for longer distance engagements, as well as entrances into buildings that look like they'll see a fair bit of close quarters SMG/Shotgun action.

 

Encore is bigger that I thought it would be, with plenty of flanking routes around the central stage area. Could be good for snipers, as the lines of sight are pretty decent down the flanking routes.

 

Vertigo is a small, close quarters map that you'll love or hate each time you play it. Looks like it would be mental if you played Ground War on it. Plenty of verticality, so might prove somewhat tricky identifying enemy locations on the mini map at first.

 

Not played Mob of the Dead yet, just been watching some of Syndicate's YouTube videos instead.

Finally got by SMGs iced! Was playing the other day and my nemesis stat was 15-0. Lol that guy must have been proper pissed! Anyway any of you want to do some league or 1 night of Zombies? We could plan it when convenient for all?

How was if for you connection wise tonight, bar some of the early games it seemed pretty good for me tonight.

 

Got my arse kicked on some but it seemed pretty well balanced bar that kid with the pistol who was definitely dodgy.

Latest patch introduced a new bonus game mode called Arms Race. Just TDM but you get more points for a kill so that you get to score streaks quicker. Here's TmarTn to explain:

I should have known better. Every lobby I got lagging like fuck and/or populated by people cheating.

 

Double XP weekends, increased points game modes etc. are always the same full of fucking dickheads who have to cheat because they are shite.

Anyone have sound problems when playing this? It's been happening me a bit lately, just happened me again. The sound cuts and all I can hear is static. It's unrelated to my headphones as it's coming through the TV too.
