I think with Adam doing so well in centre midfield, we don't need him in that position - as we have a play maker.

 

With the team struggling to finish chances, I'd play him in a supporting striker role behind Suarez. Let him have freedom to roam and win us games.

Like you say, considering how bad we're struggling for goals its hard to see past sticking him further up the pitch in any role at all. He'll score goals if we let him loose.

I would still play Gerrard over adam and every other CM/AM every day of the week to be fair. No disrespect to Adam but Stevies world class.

Right midfield where he gets the freedom to roam as well. He can drift in and out and provide better crosses than Downing or Kuyt or anyone else.

 

I've said this before, Gerrard on the right mid can beat players, and Suarez, Maxi and Kuyt can have more chance up front of scoring goals.

Gerrard and Torres' movement together was absolute poetry in motion, they were fucking unstoppable as a tandem. It remains to be seen whether he has the same chemistry with Suarez, but judging from their individual performances I don't see why not; two very intelligent footballers with great technique.

I am more worried of him getting fit than where to play him at the moment. I have a feeling he will retire early because of his injury. He would probably play 15-20 games until the next injury this season.

The days of building team around Gerrard has long gone. Gerrard is injury prone now and we better move forward and build a team around Suarez whom clearly our best player this season.

Depends how defence/attack minded you want to be. The obsession with defensive midfielders might stop this but I would like to see him in the middle with Adam. That plus the attacking four would be great to watch. If that's shit, then on the right.
