For many it seems, a 'good article' is one that merely parrots back things that they already think.

 

SK's pieces are excellent because: a) he clearly knows how to write; and b) although I don't always agree with every sentiment, they are always conveyed thoughtfully and, moreover, make me reflect on my own view of the world (well, the LFC part of it at least).

 

You can't ask for much more, really.

Saying it how it is and saying how he sees it is two very different things. Whilst I agree with most of it, its not something we havent heard before.

He’s still got his little gophers spreading the gospel, though parts of it now sound desperate. There’s a line now about press xenophobia, with bewildering name-checks for Grant, Scolari and even (hilariously) Ramos.

 

The latest bout of Wenger Worship could hardly have come at a worse time then, but they type on regardless. Neat trick, with fistfuls of straw…

It IS actually the same Steve Kelly.

 

(Unless he's got a twin brother with the same name of course.)

 

And to be fair to Steve, he did have the same pop at Brian Reade on this forum.
