What happens if Iain Hume dies?

Will those shithouses at the FA, FIFA and UEFA still say Morgan hasn't got a case to answer for?

I read the FA will only upgrade yellows to reds in "exceptional circumstances". Obviously nothing exceptional about the deliberate elbow Morgan gives Hume then.

Will D'Urso be sacked and told he is unfit to referee a game of football again?

Will Morgan face jail time?

Why has this been brushed under the carpet? If they can try and put Cantona in prison for kicking a fan, if they can ban Robbie for sniffing a white line, why can they not do that twat Morgan for GBH?

If he dies, the FA might upgrade it to a red, or give him a small fine I reckon.

However should Hume's last words on this Earth be about the Ref being an incompetent cunt, then I daresay the FA will slap him with a ban and disrepute charges that carry forward into the after life.

Would he have a Humeanist funeral ?

If he dies then the police would have to step straight in. I saw the challenge and thought it was deliberate I have to say.

It looked pretty intentional to me also. It was reckless at best.

Would it be manslaughter? Could very well be if the lad did die?

Hmmm, now that would be one very grey area indeed. Ultimately, it would be difficult to prove any intent to cause injury and it occured during a competitive, contact sport. Its not like your regular on the street job where someone chins or elbows some other mush, as the intent to injure is obvious.

Fingers crossed the lad makes a full recovery, but if the worst does happen, this would be a real legal minefield. My best guess is that if he did die, then obviously the Police would become involved, but after an inquiry fuck all would happen, because the FA having investigated found no intent or culpability....whether you believe or agree with the findings of the FA is another argument entirely.

I haven't seen the incident but there is a Barnsley fan in my office, quite a level leaded guy, who's said how bad it was.

Surely a fractured skull is exceptional circumstances

He's definitely done him. He looks over, sees him and then elbows him.

Morgan's a dirty twat and I've never thought the police should get involved in football but that was malicious and he deserves bringing to book over it.

He'll be exhumed

You know what, I saw this thread as I was passing and entering the GF and thought of that very joke. Twenty minutes later after checking out the serious business of the GF I come on to lay down my awesomeness and you have stolen my thunder; I'm gutted.

Damn you Krobotkin!

Thing is, the police should already be involved regardless if the FA are going to act or not. If somebody was elbowed in the head after 'walking into it' on a night out in town and caught on CCTV then the police would be well onto it.

You'd hope.
