Any of you seen him play? How the fuck can you write him off without at least having seen him play? Ridiculous

I rate him very highly.

As I've already said, he's a bit like Babel. Big, strong, very fast (faster than Babel) and with good skill. Personally I think he's the most talented player from the norwegian league for many many years.

He did really well in the U20 WC (2005), where he played a lot as a right sided winger. He's more of a striker than a winger though.

What I like about him is his ability to create something for himself, even against three or four defenders.

Saw him live one single match back in Norway (Enga vs Lyn last summer). Quickly realised that this guy was way, way too good to spend his time in norwegian footy. Strong, quick, nice touch, aware - physically he's got it all. Now whether he has the mental toughness to play for Liverpool is another matter. Not so sure.

Edu is a very talented player. He will eventually end up at a good club, but I'm not sure he's good enough to play for us. Either way, he won't get a WP at this stage. I think West Ham (or Wigan....or someone else...) tried to buy him but pulled out because of the WP-situation.

From the clips he looks all legs, gangly and all over the place!

THE EXIT OF THE YOUNG CANTERANO COULD BE IN THE PREMIER

Madrid tries “to place” to Javi Garci'a in the Depor so that it does not go to the Athletic one

By JOSE FELIX DIAZ · Madrid Javi Garci'a almost has foot and means outside Real Madrid. The intention of the young soccer player is the one to play in First circumstance that does not obtain in cub white. The supply that has done him the Athletic one is of its affability, but Madrid does not want that Javi Garci'a Vista of rojiblanco the next season.

The madridista set wants to transfer it to the Sport one with repurchase option, so that it does not happen the same of the year last with Jury, but the young midfield player prefers to go away to the Athletic one of Madrid before to the Galician equipment.

At the moment, one has not reached any agreement between the player and his club. The operation still follows open. In the last hours, it has sounded a new supply and the possibility that does not discard Javi Garci'a saturates in the Liverpool.

The intention of the set trained by Rafa Benítez is to yield it during a year to another club of the Premier.

I don't know which clips you've seen so I can't comment on that. When I've seen him live 5-6 time and on tv another 10 or so times. He's almost always been an attack all by himself. Tearing defence appart and creating goals out of nothing. He's got pace and is very good one on one. He's also fairly strong, and has good basis skills. He's in my opinion by far the most talented striker in the Norwegian league, but I'm not sure he will take the step up to a major club. He can, but he will most likely end up in good but not great team.

He hardly scores enough goals to justify that...

I think he'd get a WP. Mikel did, and they have the same credentials. Last time I checked I think Edu had played in 8 international games for Nigeria.

As for his quality, I'm sure he's good enough to play regulary for most teams. Perhaps not Liverpool yet, but he has the potential to be a star player for any team.

Lyn have a crap side, and the only reason that Edu hasn't scored more goals (and his ratio is decent) is that he has to do everything himself.

The last time I watched him was vs. Rosenborg about a month ago, and he beat them on his own.

Take a look at the goals he actually scores, and I think you'll see it's justified. He's got 5 goals and 3 assists in 10 games so far this season too, which isn't bad at all considering his injury. Don't know which ratio he had last year, but he scored a few then too.

Is the Norwegian League any good?

It's probably the best in Scandinavia, but the level has been falling so that won't last long. A few years ago I think Rosenborg would be a mid-table team in the Premier League, but at the moment I don't think there are any norwegian sides that would survive in the PL.
