Royal Mail hasn't been privatised you mental. Congratulations on holing your own argument.

In all but name it has. Everything has been stripped back to its barebones, there are more traffic management machines in the delivery offices than ever before.More pressure being put on an ever decreasing workforce for more productivity. Most management is working from home whenever possible.

It's supposed to be happening in the not to distant future, but it keeps getting put back.

It's just cost me £3.50 to send ONE fanzine to Ireland. That's £3.50 to send a £2.50 magazine a couple of hundred miles. That means for the Irish, Norwegians, Danes etc I now have to charge £6 per issue, which is an absolute fucking joke.

It's going to kill off the fanzine, as I have to put my prices up again and people just aren't going to be able to afford it. I'm already down to around half of what I was selling five or six years ago.

I dread to think how much it's going to cost to send to Australia or America now. Gonna be around a fiver I expect.

How many e-subscribers have you got compared to normal subscribers earlier Dave?

I did not renew mine because you said the costs of sending them had gone up so much last time around, but I think I've only missed one issue since then anyway since I've been able to buy most at the match.

E-subscription is not my thing though.

Not too many, but then I've not really pushed it that much as I'm not happy with the set up as it stands.

I'm in the middle of setting something up with a company who specialise in that sort of thing, they'll deal with e-subscriptions and also set me up with an app for people to download it through itunes.

Unfortunately there's a downside, apple take 30% and then it's a 50-50 split between me and the company that provides the app, so I can't see it paying too much. I don't really have much of a choice though, as it's not something I can do on my own.

They seem like a reputable company, they've got loads of top titles in their stable so hopefully it takes off. I won't know unless I try I guess.
