• I have used a randomiser to decide the selection order.
• 1st person goes then so on until the last person who will then take 2 picks and the picks will go backwards to the first person who will pick twice and it will go in order... carry this on until everyone has completed their band.

• Your band must consist of the following 

 

- Lead Singer (If your lead singer is also a guitarist/drummer you only get the singing part, if you want them for their instrumental prowess then you need a different frontman/woman) 

- Lead Guitarist

- Rhythm Guitarist

- Bass Guitarist 

- Drummer

- Miscellaneous (This can be a piano, keyboard, backing vocalist, Triangle player - whatever you like but you must pick one) 

 

• You can pick your band in any order so if you have your eyes on your favourite drummer and want him/her picked before anyone else then so be it. 
• When making your selection please type it out as followed 'Name (Band) Band slot' i.e; 'Bob Smith (The Bastards) Drummer'  
• Voting will start as soon as I have posted this thread up
• Please try and keep an eye on the draft so you can get your pick in as quick as possible. It speeds it up and keeps it more interesting. If you go over 12 hours then the next pick will pass on and you will make your pick as soon as you get back on. 
• Dont fuck up the selections list. Simply copy, paste and add your pick. 

 

Any questions just ask on the other thread. Its pretty straight forward once you get going. 

 

At the end when everyone has completed their band they will submit them on the other thread with a Band Name. Just make one up. Voting will be groups first then a final group to decide the winner. Anyone can vote if you participated or not. I will put the voting groups on the GF so more people can see and vote. When voting you are voting for which band you think would be the best (obviously).

I think a few of us could've easily picked more well known people. Once I got it into my head the band I wanted though it was settled really. There's a well known singer/guitarist I wanted on guitar (will say after picks are finished if we're still talking about this) but it would've seemed odd having him as rhythm guitar and could've wound others up that I thought might've wanted him as singer. So I figured if he couldn't sing he'd not be bothered anyway.

 

Fuck, I just googled to see if I spelled rhythm properly and I did! Could be a first.

It was always going to happen Rem. There's been thousands of great artists over the decades and we're picking 90 artists between us. So many big names I was toying with but I would have had to rejig my initial thoughts/line ups. I wanted musicians who could cover a few genres and who I think would gel together. At the end of the day there are some great line ups and it will all come down to personal tastes, it'll be a flip of a coin for many.

I think we skip Ardja, he's had more than eniough time (though we'll look like dickheads if he has Corona-aids) so he gets his pick when he is back online and we continue as if he had made his pick anyway. The way the draft has gone, he will probably get his first choice pick anyway

He was logged on a few times today looking at the FF and posted in the GF where Sugar Ape actually reminded him he was up to pick.
