Yeah, because Noah is a total angel who never gets mixed up in that kind of stuff.

Jo's a stand up guy, he was looking out for his team-mate. All he did was walk over and told Pierce to stop running his mouth at Jimmy. Then Pierce tried to poke him in the eye, the shitbag.Thibs got caught in the crossfire and almost took a shot as well.

Paul Pierce is boss. That poke to the forehead was lame as anything though.

Whoever gets out of the West will probably win, maybe even the Clippers?

No playoffs for the Lakers this year. 9th at best but probably more like 12th or 13th.

Nothing I enjoy more than seeing the Lakers suck balls.

The west is loaded. Can't wait for the opener against the Mavs.

Repped anyway, we aren't going to suck balls anywhere near as much this year. However, we do have defensive issues both on the perimeter (Johnson being the only real enforcer out there) and in the middle (where we are very reliant on Hill and Davis putting in a contract year). But we have a lot of skilled guys with something to prove (Boozer is a better fit for this system and will get a lot of looks of Kobe operating in the post), some good young talent (Clarkson is going to raise some eyebrows) and goo value elsewhere (Davis on the vet min is a steal).

If we're involved in any drama it will be a race between us and the Suns for 8th, with the Suns wanting to keep us in the lottery as they have our 1st rounder.

We are, we are going to suck balls. Bottom five team team. I think we're playing for Okafor now, Nash out and us not applying for the exception is a clear signal. Nash dead before the side gelled and Clarkson/Kelly/Randle all fit and ready for the league (we all knew he wouldn't last, but would have been nice to see him manage his way through a few games while we settled). Boozer, Johnson and Lin showing their Downing side right out of the gate and Randle... that's a real fucking shame. George and Randle down for the year before we even get going.

But still, I think we're in a good spot to rebuild. Lots of expirings, could re-sign Davis for cheap (expecting Hill to go, but if we pick up a stud centre in the draft - assuming we retain - re-signing him and Davis might fit into a good rotation around the Centre and PF spots). We have good youth players, Clarkson is going to be a solid role player, really aggressive, Kelly is very underrated and now has a great opportunity to show it with Randle away and then we have the man himself. Will have to wait and see how he manages his way through rehab, with Worthy and Kobe in his ear he will be getting the right message.

Now we just have to not overplay Kobe, will need him bringing this game next year, can't have him chasing pointless victories, just keep him scoring in a sensible rotation. Think we need to chase some depth in the summer, play for Reggie Jackson and maybe Green from GSW, draft a centre and work from there.

Anyway, I've had the week off and have been back at the parents' so have been recording as much off BT as possible. Spurs had a horrible night (even taking the B2B rest into account, Leonard has to do better if he wants the max) to the point I turned off because I don't like that Rockets team. But GSW, Memphis and the Blazers have been great fun. The west is fierce this season, hoping Blazers or GSW take advantage of OKC's injury issues. Think it's a year too far for the Spurs, that Mills injury and the schedule issues might leave them in a difficult spot.

Clarkson made the all-rookie team. Take that Elfrid...

Draft lottery tomorrow night. If we lose the pick I might give up on sports altogether...

Lakers should trade their pick to the Knicks for Carmelo Anthony. Sign Deandre Jordan or Tyson Chandler in free agency. Then get Tom Thibodeau in as coach when he gets sacked by the Bulls. Give Kobe half a chance at competing in his last season.

Payton actually made all rookie as well, Smart and Parker missed out.

All depends on the position of the pick. Towns is a great prospect if we get lucky and you aren't getting better than Winslow at 5. Just got to keep it as lower than that and it goes to Philly.

All about getting a base to attract Durant over next summer.

Durant isn't going to the Lakers.

Westbrook the year after maybe.

Depends on the team we have at that point, it would require the 2015 pick and Randle settling into the league quickly and showing they can contribute early, but it's possible. Would not be surprised to see him leave OKC for a setup with deeper pockets.

He'd only leave to go somewhere to win.  Lakers are miles away at the moment so no hope.

You've got to have a better team than one with Westbrook and Ibaka, plus the 3 or 4 other decent players OKC have got.  It's not happening for the Lakers after next season no way.

However if Durant leaves OKC to go elsewhere, say home to DC to play with Wall and Beal, then it makes it a trillion times more likely Westbrook will leave the following year.  The Lakers should be then in a better position for that possibility, plus Westbrook is from LA.

I agree that westbrook is far more likely, I just think that we have a very good - and cheap - young core in place that will allow us to be a major player in FA over the next few years. It's a big if, but if Randle and Towns/Okafor (now we know we have #2) work well together, we can make the playoffs, which in the west would be huge for such a young group.
