There are a few words I like, but I'm not sure about their exact meanings or pronunciation, or they just don't sound right in my (Wool/Scouse hybrid) accent.

 

"Execrable" is (ironically) a very good example.

I accidentally used this word in a presentation I wrote when tired instead of authentication. As I am the only native English speaker in the company, people have presumed it is correct and started using it.

 

Do I tell them I fucked up or should I just hope it eventually becomes a real word due to usage?

It'll be in some american dictionary somewhere.  Alongside, logicalize and such like.  Don't sweat it.

Strange mate, I work in IT, have never come across it in that context, but i'm not down with the developers and programmers - but can see there being a few nonces amongst those I have met.
