Worryingly it's looking like Martinez. Another Woy in the making, we'll be 15th at Christmas with the media and supporters baying for blood.

Supporters maybe, media no. They like him because he's media friendly. As long as he doesn't start getting tetchy with them, he could have us bottom of the table and it wouldn't be his fault. It would be the fault of the fans for not accepting him and Kenny for leaving us a shit squad.

This isn't a dig at Martinez himself, I like the guy even though I don't want him.

I have no problem with Martinez as a person. I like the feller and believe one day he will be a great manger. I just don't know if it's a risk we can afford to take. But if we do take that risk then we have to back the man 100%. I'm listening to this week's Anfielf Wrap now and Peter Hooton pleads a very good case for Martinez. I sound like a massive hypocrite here because my posts only an hour ago were pretty negative on his potential arrival but I've got to say listening to what Hooton said has softened my views slightly. If he is the man then we have to put all negativity aside and get behind him.

We'll see what happens, he may surprise us.

I hope he does, I really do. Sometimes a young up and coming manager just needs somebody to have a little faith in him. I don't like the DoF stuf but it might really help if he's bloody good.

The problem of course is that he isn't Kenny and he isn't Rafa. So unless he gets off to a good start it's going to get pretty ugly, pretty quickly. Which unfortunately is the way things are these days.

Interesting that both pictures were taken at the same time (you actually see the other photographer in the last picture...)

They photoshopped the other photographer in there, very clever though.

I don't mind Martinez that much. He has proved in a couple clubs that he can do a good job, getting results & playing good football. The issue for me though is that he's never managed a big club. But hey, you don't need top club experience to successfully lead a top club. But it'll sure make us fans feel a bit better.
