  1. ...and that post makes me the proud owner of a code royal flush, 5 consecutive negs. complete with the mandatory irony filled comment with a distinct lack of self awareness. He's a cunt, but by god is he a funny one. Like an angry, arrogant Alan Partridge
  2. Stewart Downing getting off remarkably easy here. Although he has played more than Aquilani already, hedid cost a few million more and can anybody really say hes contributed anything that Aqui didn't? i.e. fuck all? Infact i'd probably prefer downing to be constantly injured, out of sight out of mind sort of thing. The Shithouse.
  3. Difficult one this. Brazilian Ronaldo for me probably had more natural abilty, although C.Ronaldo's hardly a slouch. Brazilian Ronaldo has the world cup on his side and when thin in his early days was absolutely unbelievable to watch. But even still, I'd still say C.Ronaldo is everthing considered the better player. He's scored over 40 goals a season for about 5 straight years now hasnt he? Fucking unbelievable statistic.
  4. re dempsey the closer to the shut of the wondow the better. A 29 year old who's made it clear that he only wants to move to us and whose manager has stated it is impossible to keep. We've got them truely backed into a corner, then again if anyone can fuck this up and still end up payin 10 million its us
  5. whereas i agree allen will be a cracking player for us, I think he'll be more a 'behind the scenes' type player rather than an out and out match winner. Allen will play well in games and link things up superbly, but I doubt he'll score a lot of goals for us (hope I'm wrong). Someone like Johnson on the other hand is likely to frustrate at times, but equally likely to pop up with a moment of individual magic and score a goal. Taking in our current state, I'd take Johnson in a heartbeat, especially if it means less playing time for Stewart 'the non entity' Downing
  6. No. But at the same time not call a top player a cunt for not wanting to play for us because of our name alone.
  7. yeh, we are liverpool and we dont learn from our 'buy british for inflated fee' failures
  8. You dont expect top players to be over the moon at the prospect of joining a side who havent come close to making champions league football for 3 years do you? Everton and Newcastle finished above us last year remember we cant expect to be attracting such players at this time
  9. Those Liverpool coasters raised a smile reminded me of that comedy interview hicks gave with the fresh out the pack Liverpool mug. We can laugh about it now, although knowing some on this site we probably can't
  10. If we can't then we may as well just give up on football.
  11. Don't mince your words there mr boas say what you feel!
  12. Oh for the days of StevieH copying and pasting relevant liverpool related transfer snippets into such a thread. It was a simpler time. A better time
  13. Don't know about that like mate haha Xabi is a truely unique player and we probably will never have a finer passer of the ball. Agree with you though he seems good at controlling the tempo, keeping possession and spotting the right pass at the right time
  14. Do you not think pretty much everything theyve said in the media hold pretty firm and solid reasoning? is it ecomonical to build a new stadium to increase seating by 15000? In expanding Anfield, are there not obstacles in the way that are preventing instant progress? As things stand, theres absolutely no reason to be getting arsey regarding FSG. Regardless of net spend, which is probably a good figure taking away the obviously absurd examples of Chelsea and City, the reason we were so poor last season was because of who we have signed since FSG have taken over and for what prices, not because of the lack of money available. You sound like a spoilt brat who wants everything here and now
  15. main difference being Allen actually looks comfortable in possession and looks for the forward ball were possible. Jordan hasn't as of yet really shown such qualities and looks to get rid as quickly as possible to the easiest possible option. Allen looks promising as far as im concerned
  16. can very easily see why we're after allen after what ive seen at the olympics. If Rodgers likes possession football than this lad seems an ideal fit, cant recall him giving away possession and he's like a terrier when not in possession. Hopefully we get a good price on him but cant at all agree with the negativity coming from tonights performance, the lad had an impressive game.
  17. you dont think the fact that they're real fucking madrid had anything to do with it? or that real fucking madrid were spending obscene amounts on ronaldo and kaka and xabi seen that he was onto a winner? No, of course not, because you're a no nothing bitter cunt, who would like to simply pinpoint it to a bad piece of rafa business to support your pathetic deluded agenda
  18. Similarly, the tags on this thread have given me hope for mankind
  19. The men with the white jackets will be with you soon code dont worry
  20. The timing of this thread is even stranger on the day our two 6million rafa centre halves are being linked with 15mill plus moves away
  21. Think that day and night in Istanbul he gave me just about outweighs this deal
  22. I assume you're referring to downing and henderson? Don't know who it was, think it was a rory smith who tweeted a few days back that after that initial interview where rodgers basically put carroll up in the shop window, a 'source' said off the record that 'the english shite were fucked.' you may get your wish on downing, henderson has age on his side though
